What’s the best current monitor that is not OLED but is as good as OLED?
You have a gaming focused monitor so colour accuracy is not priority despite it being IPS. If it is yours then buy a decent IPS from the productivity range, like Asus ProArt or Dell Ultrasharp. The problem will be trying to match your MacBook Pro Display closely: it’s very high resolution (200+ PPI,

Upgrading from an M1 Pro with Asahi
It's only 13.3" instead of 14 (they also have bigger models in this same line), but the ASUS ProArt with the Ryzen AI processor and the RTX 4060 mobile is pretty decent. It can be a bit noisy (not much if compared qith other x86 machines, just if you compare it with M1 and alike)... but only if you

What monitor should I get?
Hey there, i've got a few monitor recommendations that could be a great upgrade for your setup. Since you're doing a lot of photo and video editing, i'd suggest looking at some 4K IPS panels with good color accuracy. The LG 27UK850-W is a really nice 27-inch 4K monitor with HDR400, 99% sRGB, and USB

2500$ double monitored gaming/art build
I used this bundle from Canada Computers for the CPU, mb, and memory. This saves you around $135, compared to buying the same parts online. CPU: The Ryzen 7 9700X is a powerful 8c/16t CPU. It will work well for both gaming and art/photo work. CPU COOLER: The ID-COOLING FROZN A620 PRO SE is a phenome

First time considering a computer other than a laptop, completely out of my depth
I dont what usb speed you need. If you want USB-C 3.2 gen 2, you need MSI x670E gaming plus wifi(280$), if you need USB 4 you need the MSI PRO X870-P WIFI(300). Monitor isn't the best for gaming(only 75hz), but I imagine you value the color accuracy more. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU A

Monitor buying guide....thoughts?
I feel so called out especially about the not being rich but caring about colors part. Rocking two 75hz, 1440p Asus ProArt monitors for that exact reason. No ghosting that i can personally percieve and the colors are great for an IPS panel, even at the 200-300€/$ entry level. PA278CV and PA278QV if
