Not anymore. Asus PG32UCDM3 and MSI MPG 322UR X24 are pinnacles of 4k 32" OLED gaming in 2026.

About to upgrade to a new 5090 pc, looking for good monitor suggestions that aren't OLED/QLED
Burn in? lol. I have a ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM for over two years and there’s no sign of burn in. I’m playing way more than 8+ hours a day btw.

Vsync, Freesync, Gsync, All That Fun Stuff, Someone Give It To Me Straight For The Best Setup
The flicker can vary from panel to panel. It was pretty bad on my PG32UCDM, but I barely notice any on my PG32UCDM3.

What monitor/s is everybody rocking ?
Its usually way better priced than other competitors,just because its older than other variants it doesnt mean its worse tech,its 3rd gen qd oled,it has the same exact panel like MSI MPG 321URX or Asus Rog PG32UCDM ,nowadays monitor brands release so many models which barely has any actual upgrades

My journey from Windows to CachyOS and sadly back to Windows...
Were you using KDE? I had flicker until I set Adative sync to automatic in the KDE display settings. Before I had it set to always and it would flicker like crazy, at least in normal desktop use. In game it will flicker on certain menu screens or loading screens but I don't even notice it anymore. 7

Metro 2033 and it’s PERFECT Atmosphere
For sure. Playing on my PG32UCDM which is an OLED, and admittedly I had to use reshade for better contrast and AO, but it still looks amazing even after all these years.

RTX 3080 → RTX 5070 upgrade at 1440p worth it?
I agree this is the way. I’d suggest looking on Facebook marketplace while you wait incase you can snag a good deal on a 5080 or more likely a 5070ti. I myself upgraded from 1080ti which wasn’t bad at all for 1440p but I got a new 5080 setup few months back on sale and it was the best decision I eve
