How far did you jump from GCP, not because you could, because of taste [No budget]
I very honestly believe that in terms of espresso taste a modified Gaggia is top tier. The ability to do pressure and flow profiling opens up a completely new potential which most high-end machines cannot provide. I could only imagine that e.g. a Decent, Meticulous or San Remo You could be somewhat

Anyone know if Fellow plans to improve ES1 volumetric dosing?
Yeah, it boggles my mind too. I have the calibration offset at 64 for a 20g dose, and volumetric works extremely well and consistently at that setting, much better than the volumetrics in the Breville Oracle Jet and Ascaso Steel Duo. But I keep wondering... A) how did they get the default out of the

Ascaso Steel Duo Plus Vs Profitec Move [No Budget]
I went thru the same two comparsion. This is what I did not like about the Ascaso. Ascaso Duo Annoyances · Rattles. Drip Tray and Cup Warmer Guides. · Vibration causes movement of cups on drip tray. · Steam pump noise. · No way for average user to setup Temperature Offset. · Logo plastic sticker. .

Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]
The US is 110v. Just do a Reddit search on th Ascaso Steel Duo and you will find post after post of people with issues. Just not something I wanted to take the risk on for such an expensive machine. I do think they are very attractive looking though. If I recall you can program pre infusion, temp, a

Any fix for inconsistent programmable shots on Steel Duo line?
Or someone who sounds like they know stuff. In fact no real evidence was given in that comment, just personal judgement. I agree that there's no way to measure that water that stays in the puck, but that is so small amount of it there, that it could be ignored. Also, when we speak of Ascaso Steel Du

Gaggiuino
100% agree with everyone else here! The Gaggiuino was probably the best upgrade in my coffee journey and the pressure and flow profiling will unlock things in coffee you cannot really get to with straight bar machines. I kind of regret getting an Ascaso Steel Duo PID before because I will always pre

Somebody DMed me a question about custom switches?
I never even considered custom switches, but this is so cool! Can you do this with any Ascaso machine? I'm not a fan of the toggles on myDuo, like they are way too stiff...

Let’s get the day started :)
Why not just use a spouted portafilter? I have an Ascaso Steel Duo and a Flair 58. Ascaso's low preinfusion time I think leads to a lot of the spraying. My Flair sprays a lot less and I think it's because I can preinfuse for a lot longer

Considering the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus but have concerns
I was considering the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus but some things discouraged me; the plug that you need an adapter for (why in the world would a new machine not be plug-in ready??), the rattling noise while heating up for steaming, the top of the machine is slanted sending the cups towards the back and t

Drive to Survive
When it comes to E61 groupheads, Profitec is definitely one of the big players! I did consider Ascaso, but the Baby T was too expensive, and the Steel Duo doesn’t have flow control or rotation pump. I was close to buying the Lelit Bianca, but ended up with the Drive because of aesthetics! Rockets de
