Anyone think Chinese wave of espresso machines will severely disrupt known market?

I hope so, at least for mid-tier. If I didn't already have my ascaso duo, which I love. I would probably pull the trigger on a Chinese machine.

Elizabeth V3 is here snd it’s not ugly!

Fairly similar to ascaso steel duo pid but I guess there’s only so many ways to design an espresso machine.

Ex-Breville/Bambino owners, what did you upgrade to?

Ascaso Steel Duo v2 I was spoiled by the Bambino’s quick heat up time, so the dual thermoblock Ascaso appealed to me. Build quality is night and day, the steam is noticeably stronger, and it has tons of adjustments that I’m still leaning to take advantage of. From a pure “how does it taste” perspect

My endgame machine arrived - Ascaso Baby T Plus

Got this straight from the Ascaso factory in Barcelona to Iceland, in a custom colour. Upgraded from a Steel Duo v2. We loved the Steel Duo and it served us well for 2 years, but this is a different beast entirely. The steam power is ridiculous, and the constant pressure from the rotary pump, with n

So I bought a duo plus today… would like to talk about my situation.

I've had a couple of ascaso machines, currently own the dream oud, but had the steel duo. Only complaint I've ever had was temperature calibration not being done from the factory. Never experienced any other issue and always recommend ascaso.

Ex-Breville/Bambino owners, what did you upgrade to?

Ascaso duo. I was so used to the fast warmup I couldn’t give it up.

Dual Boiler Recommendations? [$1500-$2000]

Love my Ascaso Steel Duo :) Super fast warmup with dual thermoblocks rather than boilers. Individual temp control for each. Externally adjustable OPV. Programmable pre-infusion duration / pause. Two programmable shot volumes.

Upgrade from Profitec Go - best small dual boiler? [No budget]

The Micra has a PID, just can't be adjusted without the app. Also knobs are better than levers imo, much nicer control of the steam power. If you like the Go just get the Move. You could also get the Lelit Elizabeth? I was considering these 3 but went for an Arkel Coast in the end, but it is a lot b

What actually makes an espresso machine better than another?

A good thermoblock or a good thermojet (Ascaso Steel Duo Pid, Decent, Zuriga) will be as stable as a boiler machine.
