What was your next upgrade after the breville bambino?
Ascaso Steel Duo PID. Best decision so far. The controllable PID, the adjustable OPV and the big jump in steam power are a game changer. Shots are much tastier and way more consistent too. It probably won't be my end game setup, but as of now, I don't have any machine that triggers my upgradetitis.

Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]
Ascaso Steel Duo all the way, it's a more capable machine and consumes significantly less energy. The v2 offers solid steaming power, not as powerfull as a dedicated boiler, but more than capable of steaming silky milky. Regarding QC, Lelit has it's issues, certainly after the acquisition by Brevill

What dual thermoblock machines out there?
4 months into my Ascaso Steel Duo PID Plus ownership here. Here are my pros and cons: Pros Fast heat up. 5 mins with the portafilter in the group head and a quick flush = ready for business Can pull a shot and steam at the same time Fantastic back-to-back consistency Engaging u/x with the clicky swi

Ascaso Steel duo plus vs Lelit Mara X V2 [3000$]
I went with the Ascaso Steel Duo - definitely go with a local dealer, mine came defective (steam was not working) the shop helped me troubleshoot, prime, etc.. no dice (was a little bummed) they had a Duo Plus in stock and I paid a little more for the exchange to upgrade and it works great now ( it’

Whats Advantage of the Steel Duo Plus outside of the accessories
The drip tray on the steel duo non plus gets messy. The grill from the baby t they put on the plus is much better. The steam lever looks cooler and is easier to use. The bottomless portafilter is… marginal value IMO. I got a walnut bottomless for like $40 off Etsy and it is excellent. I wish Ascaso

What dual thermoblock machines out there?
I've had my Ascaso Steel Duo PID v2 for nearly 3 years. Loads of plus points - the 2 biggest for me being the small footprint/height being ideal for my kitchen top with overhead cupboards and being able to take the water tank out from the side means I don't have to move the machine. Biggest annoyanc

I got it for the looks
Wish I had gotten the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus also and not just for looks. I also like all the features and accessories it comes with. I opted against it because there was some question as to whether the amps and even the plug would be compatible with the house. I also read about a loud knocking noise

ASCASO Steel DUO PID vs FELLOW Espresso Series 1
I am extremely happy with my Ascaso Steel Duo PID - coming up to 3 years of ownership. My only real gripe is the steam wand is a bit short. Not an espresso machine but I did buy a Felllow Aiden which failed after about 4 months. I had absolutely no response from Fellow customer support, and my retai

Ascaso Duo PID V1 vs Profitec Go difference of [$200]
I have the Ascaso Steel Duo PID v2 and I think it’s worth it. But I also specifically make alot of milk drinks in addition to straight espresso shots for myself. The temp stability is phenomenal in my opinion. I also came from a Bambino when I upgraded to the Ascaso and for the espresso, it makes mu

Considering the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus but have concerns
I was considering the Ascaso Steel Duo Plus but some things discouraged me; the plug that you need an adapter for (why in the world would a new machine not be plug-in ready??), the rattling noise while heating up for steaming, the top of the machine is slanted sending the cups towards the back and t
