If/when apple released Apple Studio Display with a possible 120HZ refresh rate - your current Mac won't still support it
I know some folks are all about the refresh rate, but I pretty much bought the studio display so I could eliminate my desktop speakers and my OWC thunderbolt hub. I don't game, so the refresh rate is ok, and the overall image quality is beyond my expectations.

M5 iPad Pro Could Hint at New Studio Display Feature [120 Hz]
Yeah, but they generally aren’t mutually exclusive. OLED monitors have incredible contrast much better than the LCD display on the Studio Display. Now 5K and 6K for the two monitors does make it hard harder to find pre-existing panels, but mini LED should work well enough if they want to avoid OLED

Kuycon is planning to release P27Z 5K 180hz monitor next week
So the Asus panel. I don’t know if I would really call us an alternative to the studio display XDR as it does not do local dimming as far as I understand. Though I guess it is a high refresh rate. I do hope they do a version that does local using the same panel the LG MSI Hisense and probably Apple

Studio Display XDR owners, what are your opinions on the display?
I originally bought the base Studio Display, but returned it after a week, I just couldn’t get past the warmer, darker panel tone and the 60Hz refresh rate. As a UX engineer working daily in Sketch/Figma and Xcode, I need a display I can trust for the long haul. I’m planning to keep this for 8+ year

Mac Studio + Dual 2026 Apple Studio Display
It's a shame they aren't 90hz but still, hard to beat the Studio Display (unless you count the XDR but considering it costs more than my entire setup I tend not to put it in the same class)

Is the Apple Studio Display still worth buying for a MacBook Pro setup in 2026?
I’ve had the 5K Studio Display since it came out four years ago. I use it mainly with a 14” M4 Max MBP now, though I’ve had other devices connected up as well (M1 MBP, M4 MBA, M2 iPad Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max). Overall, I’ve been happy with this display. It looks great, both the screen itself and the

Mac mini and external monitor – which one wakes reliably from sleep?
The Apple Studio Display is the obvious choice. It's extremely tightly integrated with the Mac. Wake from sleep is nearly instant. When trying to count "one one thousand" to time it, I can't even get through "one" before it's fully awake and ready to go. Studio Display is not height adjustable. The

M5 iPad Pro Could Hint at New Studio Display Feature [120 Hz]
Well, Samsung is releasing a 5K 27 inch OLED panel next year. I suspect that might be the studio display panel and then the pro XDR will keep being ridiculously expensive and maybe get a tandem OLED panel. It’s apparently 120 Hz for the 5K version so that would make sense to me if that’s the target.

Thanks a lot for your input man. Like yourself, I'm a software engineer (currently using Apple Studio Display 2022) and while I love this monitor, I really wish it had 120hz. Having a kid, I just can't justify buying the new ASD XDR, so I'm really keen on this new LG. Also, I'm split between linux a
