If/when apple released Apple Studio Display with a possible 120HZ refresh rate - your current Mac won't still support it
I know some folks are all about the refresh rate, but I pretty much bought the studio display so I could eliminate my desktop speakers and my OWC thunderbolt hub. I don't game, so the refresh rate is ok, and the overall image quality is beyond my expectations.

Is it just me or fonts look much better on mac than windows?
Windows and macOS use different methods to display their fonts. MS’s approach works better across a wider variety of display sizes and resolutions. Apple’s method works better on their preferred display sizes and resolutions. So, macOS fonts would look better than Windows on something like the Apple

Apple Studio Display XDR Review: We're All Pros Now!
Hot take, but the loudest complainers of every iteration of the Studio Display are the ones who have to try really hard to justify the purchase and don't actually own or use one daily. I actually own a Studio Display and use it every day for work as a designer, personal usage and light gaming. Now g

What is the best monitor for Mac mini M4 as of 2026?
I commented on your other post too but I’ll post here for anyone else that sees. The Dell S2725QC is a great budget 27” 4K monitor with USB-C connectivity and decent built in speakers too. The colors are great and text is nice and sharp. Apple's Studio Display is “the best” for Mac if you want to sp

Studio Display XDR is native 10 bit?
nobody likes to publish this, unfortunately. it is very hard to find out if displays are actually native bit depths. a professional display should be 10bit and for the price, studio display is it (it needs it for HD). i think in your case it is 10bit+dithering for 12bit, switch that off. do not get

Mini M4 Pro - Every monitor seems like a downgrade from iMac 27" Retina
I got a used 27” LG 5k for $400, the one that is an Apple Studio Display competitor and that isn’t a downgrade from your iMac monitor. Look around for used monitors that you can pickup in person and check the screen before you buy.

Best all around 5K monitor for Mac?
The Apple Studio Display runs circles around those in terms of overall build quality, display quality, audio quality, and so on.

Apple Polishing Cloth for $6.99 on Woot
From an earlier Reddit thread about the polishing cloth, on why it exists. I think the author of this piece and other people (even Apple fans) do not realize that this cloth is solely meant for users of Nanotexture display glass (edit: it’s actually the glass, not a coating.) It’s not a general purp

Switched from a bulky i5-13600K tower to my first Mac ever for development. The desk feels so much cleaner, but I need monitor advice!
4K will still not be the ‘crispest’ that you could find - though it’ll certainly be a massive step up from what you have right now. The sweet spot for you will be 5k or 6k monitors (quite a few options even in the 6k category from LG, ASUS, Kuycon). If money isn’t an issue, I’d be looking at a Studi

What's the best monitor for Mac Mini M4 as of 2026 that people recommend the most?
I have 2 Dell S2725QC for my M4 Mac mini and they’re great. Best budget monitor for the Mac in my opinion. It’s 27” 4K with 120hz refresh rate and USB-C connectivity with decent built in speakers too! Apple's Studio Display is “the best” for Mac if you want to spend that much.
