MacBook Neo review, two months later: Almost a MacBook Pro beater - AppleInsider
You should absolutely jump ship at this point. You can get an M1 Pro MacBook Pro for almost the same cost as a Neo now if you need more performance. Why hold onto your Intel Mac? The fans and throttling and performance have to be pretty annoying to deal with.

Should I make the switch from Windows to MacOS?!
I use both a windows gaming laptop and a MacBook Pro for work. Let’s just say that even though the MacBook Pro M1 Pro is underpowered compared to the windows, I prefer to do 90% of my work on it. I deal with lots of 3D and graphic intensive work hence the need for windows. With a Mac you won’t have

Is it still worth buying a MacBook Pro M1 in 2026? Any long-term issues?
We have a 2020 M1 MacBook Air and a 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro 16. The 2020 M1 MacBook Air and Pro have flexgate issues. We haven't run into the problem but there have been many posts on this sub about the problem. I would generally go with an M2 as there was a redesign though those aren't immune to it
