Apple introduces the new MacBook Air with M5
MacBook Air with M5 now comes standard with 512GB of storage What a win!! Sadly, there is no nano-texture option.

Macbook Neo
MacBook Neo and M1 MacBook Air are pretty comparable. You get a bit more performance in certain applications, but also a downgrade in screen and speakers. This is a side grade, and a waste of money. if you want an upgrade buy a MacBook Air with M4 or M5. Or just keep your machine.

PSA every Mac can do triple display now
The M4 can do two displays plus the built in display, including the Air: How many displays can be connected to MacBook Air? – Apple Support (UK) For the record, DisplayLink is vastly inferior to using native multi-monitor. Use it if you have to, but use native first.

MacBook Neo
A Neo will be fine. But a MacBook Air has a substantially better display. Especially for looking at charts it will make a difference, not to mention when working in bright light (the max brightness if the Air display is much higher). But it also costs a lot more...

Apple PWM-gate is real and no one is talking about it.
I’m sensitive to PWM on OLED displays. Phone screens start causing eye strain within 5 to 10 minutes. However, I have a MacBook Air 13” M1 and a MacBook Pro 16” M4 Max, and I have no issues with their displays. I’m a programmer and can use them all day without any problems. I also have an Opple Ligh

Advice please.
White paper is not a good choice for white balance. A Mac book air would be better.

From iPad Pro 11 M4 to MacBook Neo?
I've been an iPad user since the beginning and have owned almost every version of the Pro. I spent years trying to make it my ultimate productivity device, but even with the updates in iPadOS 26, work still feels forced. Things are just easier, faster, and more efficient on macOS. The MacBook Neo is

MacBook Neo sells out for April as demand for Apple's $599 laptop outpaces supply
The Air is in the middle Goldilocks zone. The gap between $600 and $1700 is too big to ignore. In that gap, you’ve got longer battery life, better displays, better speakers, better trackpads, better IO, more RAM, more storage, stronger CPUs, more cooling, faster storage, etc. The iPhone chip will al

What laptop would you buy?
MacBook Neo. Or on the Apple website look what Refurbished deals they have. You might be able to pick up a MacBook Air that has more RAM (Neo has 8, Air will most likely have 16). The RAM is what will future proof your laptop. Nothing else in the price range you mentioned will allow a brand new lapt
