I actually disagree with a lot of this. (Although I understand your points) I agree the influencer community seems to be a big factor in apples updates at the moment. But from an iPad usability point of view I’ve owned a functional usable iPad ever since the iPad 2 upgrading every circa 2-3 years an

Yup, that's how I got roped into the Apple ecosystem. I was a die hard Linux user for so many years, I loved hacking and ricing, and hated Apple's walled garden. Then I got the cheap $250 iPad for note-taking in college, and thought it was really nice, so I also bought an iPhone for my next phone a

Actually during last year I ditched iPhone in favour of Android and completely abandoned Windows for Mac :P For me its fine. I'm not using Safari anyway. All I need is browser history sync. If I need to send files I use localSend so yeah, for me that famous synergy is not big deal. Same for tablet.

Honestly, get any iPad with an M chip in it. The general consensus seems to be that iPadOS isn’t even really capable of using the full power of it, and I’ve found that to be true. My iPad Air 5 with the M1 has never shown any signs of slowing down and I am consistently multitasking. My recommendatio

I'll be honest I haven't used a Mac for a full year. I was using an iPad Air M2 with a Magic Keyboard. I don't even remember the performance of the MacBook Air M1 to be real with you as that was a longtime ago. I'm just glad I have a Mac again and a full functioning laptop as the iPad was so limitin

Since Apple introduce the new chassis for the Air; The iPad Air 4 (2020) uses A14, while the iPad Air 5 (2022) have the M1. Then if you’re saying you got the M2, thats iPad Air 6 (2024) and you’re saying you wanted to get the iPad Air 7 (2025) that have the M3? Not worth it bro. M2 is enough for Arc

The iPad still cannot be used as a productivity device for me personally. Very limited Office package, as in no full Word, Excel, PowerPoint,… And for video editing, I have a powerful computer at home, which is definitely faster and easier to use. My iPad Air M1 was mostly for media consumption, gam

I’d go for the iPad Air 13” M3 256GB WiFi + Cellular ($750). It’s the newest/most future-proof with M3 chip, great for school apps, note-taking (full Apple Pencil Pro support), and multitasking with your 70GB+ stuff. Bigger screen than your current Air 5, 256GB solves storage, cellular adds flexibil

I have traded in my iPad Air m1 64gb for MacBook Neo 512 - this is because at times I needed desktop for doing stuff and iPad is just not it, neobook downside tho is lack of Netflix app so I can’t download movies for when I am travelling
