As long as you take care of the device, those M1 devices are something else. My iPad and MacBook Air (both M1) still function amazingly well and the battery life isn’t bad at all.

The Air 5. Nicer screen and M1. The M series chips are the future, I think. More and more features are available only to the M chips. (Unless you’re a clumsy fruit and have a habit of dropping iPads, in which case the A16 iPad has a much cheaper to replace screen.)

The major downside of this model is the cheap non-OLED display but honestly at that price who cares. It's still a fairly bright 500 nits panel with good colors although black will be more grey
