I need an ipad for note taking preparation for destination grades
I am using an iPad 9th gen. I had a good experience with taking notes on it. I only used the Notes app. Did not experince any lag or bug. I did not use apple pencil, just used something that I bought online and still it works fine. None.

Apple pencil 1st gen/usb c or alternatives?
I tried several third party brands on Amazon and always had connectivity issues. The Apple pencil has worked best for me. I settled on the 1st generation model because my iPad 9th gen doesn't support the newer models. It has palm rejection and pressure and tilt sensitivity. It's been working great.

Best 2nd hand iPad for Drawing, Note-taking, and Freelance work on a tight budget. Which iPad model should I save up for?

ipad air or pro?
It's mostly the difference of ram size and the chip power. Pro has better chip and larger ram. Larger ram means more layers in procreate. If you have the budget, get the pro why not but for learning to draw you dont really need that much power. I use iPad 9th gen and many better artist use even olde

Laptop or IPad for cegep
I’m studying with my ipad 9th gen with an apple pencil + keyboard since 2022. I don’t think a laptop is a necessity but it depend of what you like. My suggestions would be an iPad air m4 or a MacBook Air m4/m5 if you want cheaper options you can go with the ipad a16 or the macbook neo.
