iPad (9th Generation)

I am using an iPad 9th gen. I had a good experience with taking notes on it. I only used the Notes app. Did not experince any lag or bug. I did not use apple pencil, just used something that I bought online and still it works fine. None.

I have an iPad 9th gen (2019) and it still gets the latest iOS updates. 7 years support + 2 years of security updates made apple rule the tablets market. I am not an apple fanboy but I cannot ignore the fact that even their base model (400$) has the biggest life circle in the market.

It takes my iPad 9th gen to zero % battery overnight. Never had this problem until updating to OS 26. I did send a message to Apple. Starting the transition back to Android with a new Galaxy tablet.

with both acting up after that long, it's probably the ipad's bluetooth or connector causing the pencil to disconnect. you could test the pencil on a newer ipad at a store to see if it's the pencil or the tablet. if it's the ipad, a refurbished iPad 9th gen would still work with your 1st gen pencil
