Found an Ender 3 pro on the curb and am starting to learn how to 3D print. Any tips I need to know?
Awesome find, and the right price. Starting with an old ender is like playing a game on hard mode. Modern printers today are amazing and work right out of the box. The Ender however will give you a sense of accomplishment with every print. You will learn so much from the ender. It is my opinion, if

New 3d printers are so much easier to use. I was in the same boat as you, but after talking to some people in the hobby and my son wanting one for christmas, we bit on an anycubic kobra 3 v2, and its been absolutely amazing.

Bosch wanted 40€ for a replacement fridge door shelf.
Anycubic Kobra 3 Max. 42x42cm build plate, model laid out diagonally. Was still a pretty tight fit, but worked out well

Is this worth it?
No. You can get a Bambu A1 mini for this price, or an Anycubic Kobra X for about $50 more. Those both come with a lot of features that make printing a lot easier. Also a warranty

Can we stop with the 3D printed 'crafts'?
It’s so freaking helpful! My pop had a stroke when I was 2 and was pretty profoundly disabled by the time he passed and I’m now disabled and frequently make my own stuff. Cults3d has a whole section of accessibility prints, so there’s even heaps there if you can’t or are too lazy to model (it’s me,

What printers would this community recommend?
Just my .02 so take it as you will. Buy an enclosed coreXY printer - the print quality difference versus "open-air" bedslingers is vast, more exotic filaments can be used without so much worry as well. For what it's worth I have an Anycubic Kobra S1 with an Ace Pro and it serves me quite well. The p

LS3 throttle body adapter
The place I consult for uses Creo. Edit: to clarify, I modeled it on-site using Creo, exported as a STEP rather than STL to avoid tesselation related artifacts, imported into Anycubic Slicer Next, defaults for generic PLA and hit go. The Kobra S1 is a nice machine for its price.

Bambu Lab A1 EVERYWHERE!
It was the best entry-level standard sized bed slinger for a very long time. It’s still one of the best, but it has some decent competition now, like the Anycubic Kobra X and the Creality SparkX i7

Anycubic Kobra X vs Bambu Lab A1
You can download Makerworld models and use them on Anycubic's slicer, Anycubic Slicer Next. I recommend using the slicer for best results and total control over the quality and rigidity of your print. Anycubic also offers its own library of STL and 3MF files on their MakerOnline website, which you c
