NVR w/ Hikvision Cameras

I had a delay issue on latest 7.1.60 with some amcrest cams. Had to set camera to h264 and 1440p CBR, acc audio. I didn't like vbr or the weird higher 2k resolution.

Is there a "use this camera with Blue Iris" post?

I'm not aware of any pre-built battery operated cameras that stream continuously ("pre-roll" as you call it). You need a hardwire powered cam to do this. It doesn't have to be PoE. Amcrest is ok. Step up is EmpireTech/Dahua, they use bigger sensors and have much better night vision in color with much less ghosting. I wish I had skipped the Amcrest 4k and gone straight to the EmpireTech 2k. The bigger sensor is better than the megapixels in my opinion.

Cheap 4k camera

I know there’s at least one or two models that support simultaneous HKSV and RTSP but I don’t think it allows for higher resolution via RTSP. May have to use a Scrypted-type solution for that. Even my

SSD for NVR

This article says the storage amount listed is for a week: Scrypted NVR requires a disk that can store at least 3 days of video for the cameras in the system. The storage requirement will vary based on the camera count and camera resolution. The following table provides a rough estimate for one week
