I think only bullet point 2 matters here the most. Don’t let people gaslight you that the Kaleido 3 is an OK screen when it clearly bothers you. I'm sorry OP this sucks and I'm sure you'll make the best decision. The Kobo's are better but they feel more fragile to me and my KLC lives on my bed and still use my Oasis as my outside reader since they built that model tough and still think it was the last good kindle.
