Libra. As much as I loved the Kindle Oasis, it's hard to find them now with good battery life because they aren't being made anymore.

It just depends on what you're looking for. You basically have three classes of devices available to you: Kindle: generally excellent hardware for the price point, but the software is middling, at best. Long tradition of making the experience of using the device actively worse as Amazon chases reven

Ohhh this looks nice. I have the same goals as you and recently got a Boox Palma. I really like it and it has def got me off my phone more, but it’s not as pleasant to read on as my old Kindle Oasis. But Oasis has the Amazon lock-in, and also is still microUSB charging. I was thinking of selling bot

I adore mine. I love reading with it, and I really enjoy it. It's like a Kindle Oasis, Colorsoft, Scribe, and Paperwhite had an eink tablet that can use apps. I have the Kindle, Audible, Libby, Bookfunnel, and other apps on it. I'm kind of obsessed with it. I can turn pages with the buttons, and I c

PocketBooks for just downloaded epubs. If you want to use the library or a local subscription service or something like Storytel as well (depending on your country and library) which requires an app, then Boox devices or inkBook (Polish) are Android-based and can do apps. Boox Go 7 and inkBooks have

I'm a button snob. I had a Kindle Voyage for 10 years that has the button like press areas. Would have loved an Oasis, but they were too rich for me. I sideload all my books, and Amazon likes to remove sideloaded books from devices. I often would be halfway through a book to find it was gone when I

Buttons, LOL. But more seriously - I think the Kindle Oasis was one of the most comfortable and well-built Kindles made, what with the metal body and the page turn buttons, and mine still holds up well, so I use it happily enough. (I don’t buy books from Amazon any more, and as the Oasis had a notor

I don’t think there’s a limit as such. If going through the web interface (https://www.amazon.com/sendtokindle/), it’s probably best to send a few at a time just because it can get slow or throw errors otherwise (plus it’s usually better for the Kindle to have a handful of files to process in one go

I really like my kobo libra color I just bought. I only read black and white books and I don’t really notice any negative effects from color. battery life is great. doesn’t feel as premium as my old kindle oasis but the battery life and usb c makes up for it

Yea, 4-6 days is a lot. I replaced my kindle oasis that was working perfectly otherwise for a similar reason so I get that. Color e-ink isn't the best yet, its darker and grainier compared to black and white screen. I haven't seen the colorsoft in person so I don't know, I can tell you because you a
