New Kindle ScribeColorsoft 2025
I fear that it will be still too much of a kindle with just some note taking attached. I tried the last two iterations of the Scribe and found the software so lacking, that I couldn’t keep them. Even though from the hardware point of view they were great.

Why are ereader not getting better?
Thinner chassis doesn't make as much sense in e-readers as customers need to be able to hold the device. That's actually why Kindle Scribe, Kindle Oasis, Kobo Libra etc all have one protruding side where they also tuck in the battery. Though the upcoming Scribes have smaller bezels, it's just not as

One day in with Air 5C and NOT having a good time
Your frustration should be directed at the Kindle Scribe team! Also you have yourself in part to blame as should have researched more before the Boox purchase. Sorry to be harsh.

Warning about BOOX warranty/support experience
all glass e-ink is susceptible to this kind of damage because they all use the same screens. the only reason Boox gets shit about it is because they are popular worldwide and there are many units deployed. reMarkable gets exactly the same posts on their sub. Looking for imaginary note-taking device
If a device is pocketable, then it is too small to read PDFs on it. The closest compromise is an 8" device like the Viwoods Mini or the Supernote Nomad. You can read/annotate PDFs and write on them, and they will fit in a coat pocket. A little cramped, though. The only truly pocketable e-ink devices

Kindle support ending- looking for a new e reader
The build is worse than kindle for sure and touch screen felt inferior to kindle. Like when screen gets wet, didn't have issue of pages just getting turned by themselves without stopping in my paper white or scribe but that was major trouble with kobo clara bw. And the back isn't as solid. The plast

Portable device with Notetaking abilities. No bigger than 8 inches.
Issue with the scribe is it's friggin huge and heavy. My go 7 2 is great and I have to enjoyed it quite a bit over my other devices. the 'grain' doesn't annoy me but I've also not used a color soft. Also at this point fuck Amazon and their ecosystem. Last year they stopped me being able to download

To jailbreak or to sell
According to the scribe sub, you can type with an external keyboard, however it require setup (and jailbreak): https://www.reddit.com/r/kindlescribe/comments/1pud2e6/bluetooth_keyboard_support_for_all_kindles_please/ A boox is not just a scribe with different firmware, it will be much more powerful under

Anyone regretting their supernote?
not 100% regret but definitely overhyped. you definitely dont get what you paid for in this case. i dont think any of their options justify the prices they have. like their accessory options are a strong tell in how overhyped things are. why is diy their "best" options for their accessories? what ot

Hows NOTES on the boox go 7? As good as ReMarkable? Or as bad as the Kindle Scribe?
Have you used the kindle scribe? It was my first time writing notes on eink, and i was SO IMPRESSED with the remarkable and then on the flip side - couldn’t believe how bad the scribe felt. I would actually use the notes if i had a remarkable, its basically a gimmick on the scribe. Hoping the go is
