Testing Kobo Libra Colour vs Kindle Color – Which one should I keep?

I went from a kindle paperwhite to the KLC and I love the Kobo ecosystem so much more. It feels so much more personalized to me vs kindles basic ecosystem. The only thing kindle has going for them is the amount of books available in the Amazon store and KU. I’m hoping that now that Kobo is becoming

Kindle Paperwhite vs Kobo Libra Colour — which would you keep? 😭

I think only bullet point 2 matters here the most. Don’t let people gaslight you that the Kaleido 3 is an OK screen when it clearly bothers you. It is an amazing screen for those who don’t notice the screendoor effect, but if your eyes are sensitive, it just makes it unusable. I have a Kindle Oasis

Did anyone buy the new kindle scribe? I’d love to hear thoughts on what you like better on each

I actually did and received mine yesterday, and the Scribe is going back to Amazon today. Background: I owned a RM2 for a few years, fell in love with the device and bought the RMPP on day 1. I've been less enamored with RMPP as there are a lot more little things that annoy me about it, but still us

I have a confession…..

I’ve been struggling with the Colorsoft. I find I have to adjust the warmth and brightness with a frequency that’s a nuisance. The battery also drains fast. I read for the whole day after Christmas (8ish hours) and it went from fully charged to dying. In comparison to the Paperwhite, which took like

Worth the buy?

If the kindle colorsoft bothered your eyes chances are high that the kobo will as well... the displays are all made by the same company.

kobo ereaders

I wanted a color ereader and that was before the disastrous ColorSoft launch, so I switched to Kobo and I think so far I’ve found one book that wasn’t on Kobo which I discovered was because of Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited exclusivity clause which only applies to self-pub/indie authors (which is why you

Kindle to Kobo?

I switched from Kindle to kobo and prefer kobo. It has a better UI, no ads anywhere, and overdrive integration. I downloaded all my kindle books before Amazon got rid of the download feature, so they were easy to de-drm with Calibre. I'd advise that, even if you stay with kindle, you download and ba

Kindle pw 12th is superfast, vs KLC

I had the opposite. I bought a tablet thinking that it would be better and that I could get more from it than just an e-reader a couple of years ago and ended up never using it and instead using my phone to read, which had it's own problems. Or just the traditional books... The tablet was one of the

Kobo Libra Colour vs Kindle Colorsoft – Which would you keep?

Haven't tried the colorsoft but I switched from Kindle oasis to kobo libra colour and far prefer Kobo's UI and the extra options I have with using it with Calibre, also kindle doesn't support libby in Canada and the colorsoft doesn't have buttons so it was never a good option for me.

So after playing with both Kindle and Kobo for a few days, I gotta say — the hate for Kindle and the hype around Kobo are both kinda overblown

Don’t forget the KLC has Google Drive, Dropbox, and Instapaper built in. My deciding factor of my KLC vs Colorsoft is ergonomics: the KLC is just much easier to hold, has buttons, is significantly lighter and can easily be flipped from right/left hand hold. I read for hours a day and there is no com
