I'm pulling the triger tonight, which do you recommend?
Kobo clara bw. It might be more expensive than the kindle basic but it's waterproof and has warm light and the kindle basic doesn't have those. You might also wait a couple of days and see if it will get any discounts.

Why can’t non-verbal autistics talk?
I'm ADHD, autistic, and have a ton of other health issues. I could speak by age 2 and started reading in a headstart program between 2-4. I have a series of medical conditions that affect my muscles. I physically can't speak when I'm stressed or excited because I lose a good amount of control over m

Literally pocket sized books for my commute
A Kindle Basic is a pretty "pocket sized" reader which can mean all your books are pocket sized regardless of heft. 🙂

I'm underwhelmed with my Kindle Jailbreak: can someone tell me what I'm missing?
To add, the custom gestures alone are a huge improvement in reading experience for me. You can set them to do almost anything. Increase/decrease/disable frontlight, navigate in books, basically any menu action can be assigned to a gesture. I even have a HomeAssistant plugin so I can turn off my beds

Is an e-reader right for me?
So transfering the PDFs isn't the problem. You can send PDFs to a kindle by using the "Send to Kindle" feature either in the web browser or emailing the PDF or using the Kindle App on your phone. That's easy and to the best of my understanding basically every eReader is going to let you put a PDF on

Is it worth upgrading from a basic Kindle to a Paperwhite?
I have a Kindle Basic and I’ve messed around with a friend’s paperwhite. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything that’s super special or worth an upgrade. The light is nice, but I also don’t find the light on the Basic to be bothersome. And personally, I actually prefer the recessed screen for Kind

What really are the benefits of KOReader?
I enjoy the tinkering but I understand if it feels like too much work for someone used to the stock Kindle UI. For me: Rotate the screen (Kindle Basic). Fine grain customization of fonts, spacing and margins. Browse by metadata (with a patch) this is awesome because I can navigate my own tags/series

Looking to buy a Cheap budget e-reader
Black Friday deal on a Basic kindle, log in and then turn on airplane mode before it can update. Then jailbreak it and use KindleForge to remove ads and install KOreader. Or the x4, but I think it lacks a front light. Either will run you about $80. Cheapest options out there.

I have the Pocketbook Verse and i love it.I also have a Kindle Basic in Matcha,The Verse has some advantages, as does the Kindle. The Verse has physical buttons, a micro SD card slot, and the best privacy, as you don't need to create any account, everything is optional.Mine is in permanent offline m

Cheap E-Readers in India
TLDR; used paperwhite or fresh Clara BW both are good options. Just get a Kobo Clara BW it's a good start into the eReader world, if you are not as unlucky as I was, It will last a few years, Also kindle paperwhite if you are really comfortable jailbreaking. E-ink technology doesn't take remarkable
