Fire HD 10 Kids

We have an ipad and a kids Amazon Fire tablet. I do not like the kids Amazon Fire tablet. For it to work for our family I ended up giving them an adult profile because the kids was full of just random stuff I didn’t care for them having and then I also had to do a bunch of things to get the Google p

Seconding the don’t get a fire tablet. Amazon forces a bunch of their eco-system onto even a kids profile. I would rather be fighting WSUS and a busted Active Directory than the stupid Amazon parental controls stuff.

The fire tablets come pre-loaded with a subscription to Amazon Kids which is a complete hellscape of content. In-laws bought them for our kids and we’ve had to disable pretty much everything to the point that they’re just portable Netflix machines. Not worth it at all.

I just came here a year on to join this little "I nearly had a mini heart attack" club. Relieved to see that it's actually free based on what others have said! I'm pretty tech-savvy yet I can't for the life of me find any little toggles for turning off ALL in-app purchases on the Fire HD 10 Kids ver

I've been in a similar spot, and I'd say the Amazon Fire Tablet is okay as a starter tablet for kids, mainly because of the price and the protective case. But yes, you're pretty much limited to Amazon's apps, and that can get frustrating as your kids grow and want more options. If you can find a fai
