Internet connectivity issues with GFiber Mesh Extender

Hi all,

I'm living in a rented home and have GFiber as my ISP. Currently I have the router in my living room with the provided GFiber mesh extender in my computer room to hardwire my connection. Recently (last couple of months), I've been experiencing some random ping spikes a couple times a day an

How do I improve my latency/stability on my G4SE?

I’ve used the hint control app to find optimal placement and still get dropped multiple times a night and my latency is absolutely terrible from about 4pm-11pm. In the morning I can get good performance, but I need good performance in the evening. I’ve considered buying an eero 7 or a keep connect t

Advice on switching to Firewalla from EERO

Hi All,

I'm a pretty tech savvy home user and recently got my internet upgraded to 2gbs. I currently have an all eero system. Most of my computers are macs and I use little snitch to block and unwanted intrusions outbound and inbound.

While I understand the need/desire for greater network securi

Upgrading from FTTN to FTTP

Currently wanting to change from my Telstra's 50/17 to Leaptel's 500/50 which includes the upgrade to FTTP.

The only thing that concerns me is the modem/router which would be the eero 7.

Is it worth going with the ISP's modem/router (eero 7) or shopping around for my own?

What are people's experi

Router recommendations for townhome

I have a Linksys EA6900 router that's over 10 years old. It's still working fine, but I figured it's time to get a modern one.

So far, I've briefly looked at Eero 7, Linksys Velop Pro 7, and Ubiquiti Dream Router 7, but open to other suggestions.

My situation:

  • Two-story townhome
  • 15-20 devices

Do I have too much bandwidth?

I recently cut the cord on cable and Fios offered me 2GB service at less than what I was paying for 1GB + TV. I’m running an eero 6 mesh wifi and was thinking about upgrading to eero 7 but do I need all of this?

I have 2 TVs, 2 laptops, 2 dedicated office workstations for remote work that are hard
