Confused why my wifi is faster than wired

I wanted to improve my internal network speed to stream large files from my media server. My media runs off a Mac in a different room to my appleTV (running infuse).
I don't have any hardwiring capabilities (ethernet or coax) so must use a mesh or power line. To date I've used BT Wholehome - a mes

2g speeds capped at 500/2000, eero 7 pro

Solved..! Kinda. Workaround was to put an unmanaged network switch between my ONT and Eero 7 Pro. (Link to reddit post at bottom of post)

So now I have ONT -> network switch -> Eero 7 Pro -> Desktop.

Where every -> is an Ethernet cable.

2 GBps Frontier Fiber Plan, only getting 180ish mbps download while getting 900+ mbps uupload on my PC with ethernet.

So just yesterday my home was upgrades with frontier fiber internet, the 2 GBps plan to be exact. The guy set up this ONT device in my room, along with an Eero Pro 7 router, which is hooked up directly to the ONT. Now my computer's motherboard has no Wi-Fi capability, so I have to use ethernet. Well

Gigaclear Galileo 900mb 2x Eero 7

I believe it's just a mesh extension. Wifi 7 etc. are way beyond 900Mbps and Wifi 6 was too. The wifi isn't the bottleneck with a 900Mbps service. It's just for extra coverage. When my 900Mbps with 2 x Eero is installed, I intend to let the engineer do "whatever" with the Eero and then I'll box them

What is happening to my 2gb plan?

Hello,

My family recently upgraded our frontier wifi plan to the 2gb plan, probably around May or so. Since then, we have been having terrible issues with our wifi. Basically, when I come home I tend to play a lot of video games and frequently join calls in order to talk with my friends. I've notic

Ax3000 Deco x55 for fiber

The Eero 7 has a 2.5gbps port, which is nice, but I use it to connect to my ps5 which I believe only supports 1gbps anyway. Mainly I'm just tired of the eero being super inconsistent. I'll look into the BE25 and BE5000. Thanks!

I am a T-Fiber NOC Technician AMA

From your experience, is it worth using my own router, or should I use the given eero 7 mesh routers? I feel as if the eero’s don’t have nearly as good of coverage for wifi as my previous personally owned deco routers.

Ive tried everything

Hi all, wanted to see if I could get any help. It started as soon as I switched to Metronet Fiber. My 70in Onn TV was doing fine until the switch. I have amazing wifi with range entenders all over my house. Main modem/router is Eero 7 Max, paired with the Eero 6 mesh-network system. It says im conne

Can't connect wifi since update.

I’ve never had any issues connecting my system to my Wi-Fi until the new company took over. I got disconnected when they went to a premium model and I was able to connect again but now another update or something happened and I’m disconnected again and no matter what I do, I can’t connect. I can get

BEWARE: Orbi 770 is absolute trash. Netgear support is even worse.

Funny that you went back to Eero. I have a 5-year-old RBK753 system that's starting to show its age so I picked up an Eero 7 Pro set to replace it. Unfortunately, I found that the Eero network was waaaaay slower than the much-older Orbi. Even though the Orbi could only handle 1Gbps at the router, I
