I'm out of contract. Where would you go?

I just started a 12 month contract with Olilo. £37/month for 900Mbps. Also added an upfront of £130 for an Eero 7 pro router expecting that it will cover a property that currently takes my BT Hub 2 extra nodes. If it doesn’t, they’ve said I can add another for the same £130. Bit of a bargain conside

Gigaclear Galileo 900mb 2x Eero 7

I have eero 7 routers with Gigaclear and they are the easiest routers I have ever used. The setup is done exclusively on your phone, I was up and running within 5 minutes. It may not have the as much control as other routers but it does everything I need. I have a 400 up, and down service And get ar

Gigaclear Galileo 900mb 2x Eero 7

I believe it's just a mesh extension. Wifi 7 etc. are way beyond 900Mbps and Wifi 6 was too. The wifi isn't the bottleneck with a 900Mbps service. It's just for extra coverage. When my 900Mbps with 2 x Eero is installed, I intend to let the engineer do "whatever" with the Eero and then I'll box them

Homebase 3 Wifi

I live in a 1600 sq ft concrete block stucco house with four S3 pros on each corner of the house and a E340 door bell camera. My S380 homemade sits in pretty much the center of our home in a tv cabinet. My connection was horrid so I dumped my Spectrum modem and put two Eero 7s in my house. I hooked

Update: Recently got 2Gb fiber to my house, so I upgraded

Literally did the same haha. Got an offer for 5gps...my 2.5gbe switches didn't hit the mark anymore so I upgraded and also got 3x Eero 7 max as well... Which have been surprisingly okay

Mesh systems are garbage.

I had eero 5 a while back and got 7 recently. I don't understand what problem you think I'm having? I live in a 19th century brick Victorian London house and the WiFi has trouble going through walls, but is fine through ceilings. My break through came when I realised the backhaul worked great if I p

2 Gig Fios Setup Question

Long time FIOS users here. I have Eero Pro 7s (including 2 Max) running at 1Gb. Before 1Gb I had 500Mb and I upgraded for an offer of $20/mo a month with a 5 year price fix. Heavy usage households, but it’s rare I am exceeding the original 500Mb speed. It’s not the Eero, since Speedtest consistently

WiFi Range Recommendation

In your case, you may get better results by adding an additional eero 7 unit, and at least in the upper 5GHz channels, it can use almost the full 30dBm transmit power as compared to the lower channels which will be in the 500-600mW range. While mesh will always have its downsides, there there are a

Overhauling network in 3 story townhome, is there an advantage to multiple APs vs mesh routers?

If you already have a weak signal upstairs with the Google router placed on the 2nd floor, I don't think a mesh system would perform much better, unless you are able to place the mesh nodes strategically where the signal wouldn't be obstructed. That might be difficult with the layout. The mesh nodes

Truly Maddening: RBR50 End of life. What Next?

I just retired my ~10 yr old Orbi RB50 setup and got the eero 7 Pro 2 node system and am very happy. Getting 950 MBps down wired and 1100 down wireless on my iPhone 17 Pro Max wirelessly using my 1 GB Spectrum cable service. Set up NextDNS filtering at the router level and am pleased so far.
