What are people replacing TP-Link routers with?
I had the same issue. I worked in tech my whole career, and my best friend highly recommended Ubiquiti, but as soon as I tried to determine what I would need I was lost. And, honestly, I don’t want to have to spend hours configuring a router. I ended up buying 4 eero 7 units and have been extremely

Saying goodbye to AirPort after 12 reliable years.
I recently upgraded from Airport Extremes to Eero 7 Max(s)/7 Pros/7 Outdoor all with wired backhaul over a 2.5 Gbps network. I’m very pleased with the results.

Firewalla Gold Constant Disconnects
Update:
The switch between devices did work. Because I didn't want to run an extra networking device, I wound up buying my own cable modem, which also fixed the problem.
Original:
For about the last month or so I've been having issues with my Firewalla gold where it's reporting intermittent d

The Best Wi-Fi Mesh Networking Systems
Few things are more annoying than fighting with Wi-Fi that just won’t reach where you need it. I’ve had my fair share of pacing around the house with my laptop or phone trying to catch a stable signal, especially when I want to stream something in bed or jump on a video call from the porch. That’s w

Is it too good to be true?
Hey all,
Currently with TalkTalk paying £42 a month for 900 down, 150 up and been happy so far, no issues and got Eero 7 with mesh all setup in the house currently. Contract ends in November and they've offered a renewal of the exact same price.

Wiring Home for Ethernet
I don't know of a service, but I do think its worth saying that a good set of mesh routers will give you an excellent, reliable network if set up properly. I would suggest Nest Wifi Pro, or Eero 7. Especially if you are just using the router the cable company gives you, this would be a much easier f

Random Disconnects Daily
Hello all. We got Google Fiber about a month ago and since having it, we get random disconnects 2-5 times a day that last between 5-10 seconds. We notice this, as members of our family play online games with a wired connection. There’s no pattern on when it’s happening.
Support tweaked some things

Frequent packet loss with T-Fiber?
UPDATE - PROBLEM FIXED: ————————————————
For those in a similar situation, I found the culprit. I originally used the 10 gb port on my 7 Max to connect it to the ONT (Nokia XS-010X-Q), even though my plan is only 2 gbps one. The data “negotiation” between the two must have not synced up properly so

Constant HomePod and Siri problems. Is there any fix?
We have 4 HomePods and 8 HomePod minis. The struggle of getting them to play music for us is exhausting. The only time it works mostly OK is when we put Apple Music on our Apple TV and have it stream to all 12 speakers. If we say "Siri, play 80's top hits" or whatever. Forget it she will never do it

Disposing of all my Asus networking gear
I've been a loyal Asus customer and have been running their wifi routers and networking gear since the mid-2000s. But the quality and stability of my network continued to erode. I've experienced both hardware and software issues without rhyme or reason.
I have a very large property, and had 6 nodes
