Helio Ring was Amazfit's biggest flop - change my mind

Other than the battery, the other 2 seem like a you problem. Features reduntant? Of course, what did you expect? That the Helio Ring would had a bunch of other sensors a smartwatch don't have? It's the same thing as the Helio Strap, it's about convenience. Maybe you feel like wearing a mechanical wa

Helio Ring was Amazfit's biggest flop - change my mind

Sadly it's battery technology on rings that's the flop, rather than just Helio. I see the same stories for Oura, Ringconn, and Ultrahuman. Failure rates are high, duration drops fast, and getting warranty replacement is uneven. Perhaps next gen tech like coming out in Ultrahuman Pro will be better,

Zepp app doesn't use your personal Max HR to calculate HR zones, it just uses the generic estimate 220-age? Surely that's an easy fix?

Well, I own it for 2 weeks now, and I can tell you this is another world (in my use case at least). HR is great for me, no weird measurements at the moment, but as soon as I run, I use a Polar H10 to receive the LT1 & LT2 estimation by ZoneSense, which is pretty amazing. At rest, all is in line with

What about Helio Ring?

I truly feel that the company didn't expect the popularity they got with the release of the Helio Strap and they're now focusing on what's working. Shitty move if you think on longevity and not the now. Sadly, most of the consumers focus on the latter...Garmin might be shitty in a lot of things but

Amazfit Falcon smartwatch funny story from 2022

Nearly three years ago... I unboxed the Amazfit Falcon watch. There was never a Falcon 2.0, and I doubt that at this point in 2025, there will be before Christmas. Regardless, yes, I still strap it on my wrist from time to time and revisit the archaic technology from 2021. I estimate that any watch

Think twice before buying an Ultrahuman Ring. My nightmare experience with 5 different rings and an expanding battery.

I was one of the early adopters of UH ring and had connectivity issues, got replacement and so on, then decided to switch to a much cheaper Amazfit Helio ring and have been very happy with it. The hardware quality of UH ring is much worse than a ring that costs less than half of it. UH is one of the

“Cheap” trial ring?

What’s cheap for you? I’ve seen the Amazfit Helio ring on sale for lower than $90. Open box can be even cheaper. It’s a solid ring with some drawbacks compared to Oura or RingConn but it’s decent quality and a good middle ground to try a ring.

What is the best smart ring to be complementary to my AW?

From everything I've seen Oura is the best, but like Whoop they're also trying to flex on other brands. Which is to say, taking them to court with stuff like "can't sell in the US, we are the inventors of smart ring tech!" etc. etc. So if it's gotta be a ring I'd say Oura, it's the only one I'd buy
