How are people dealing with OLED VRR Flicker?
I left oled because of this. The DELL AW3423DW had like no flicker. Rtings speculated that it was because it had a GSYNC ultimate module. Sadly, I sold that monitor because of the ultra wide format and back then many games I played didn't support ultra wide so I was kinda tired of tinkering around w

Can some explain the different kinds of frame sync?
You're incorrect about no sync and the different VRR methods. Other people have already covered no sync, so I'll focus on VRR. You're correct that gsync, FreeSync, and adaptive sync are all implementations of VRR. In fact, when you're generalising this hard they don't even deserve their own category

Does 'G-Sync Ultimate' matter for anything anymore?
When I went from the Alienware AW3423DW with the G-Sync Ultimate module to the AW3425DW without a module I went from “Why does everyone talk about VRR flicker? I’ve never seen it.” to “Ah, so this is VRR flicker.”

Any OLED with less noticable flicker than MSI MPG 341CQPX?
Yea, Asus anti flicker is basically turning off vrr below a specific refresh rate, so it doesn't go into flicker range. You can do the same on most screens with CRU. It also helps a bit on MSI but it's still too much for me. The AW3423DW is the only display with an gsync ultimate module and rtings s

Noticeable VRR flicker with G-sync Pulsar
Every G‑Sync Compatible and G‑Sync Ultimate display (those with the original hardware module), appears to have this issue. Those with the module perform best, and i therefor kept the AW3423DW instead of the new AW3425DW. Some monitors has worse flicker than others depending on brand. At the moment,

Upgraded from 3070 to 5070 don’t think the performance is worth it. 5 years of technological advancement and 2 generations ahead for an extra 32fps.
I play on an AW3423DW. Went from a 3080/3800x > 5080/9800x3D in the last month. It runs way better like 2x on some games like COD, LoL, OW, and some other games. I personally feel my enjoyment factor went up 5% which imo it’s not worth it. If it wasn’t a special edition PC I probably wouldn’t have u

Bought a Alienware 34” Ultrawide OLED for 300…..
Is that because of the GSYNC module in the monitor? I have that monitor but just recently got a 4K 32 OLED and the flicker on the new monitor is crazy compared to the AW3423DW. I just thought I hadn’t noticed it before
