Drawbacks of Mini LED that no one talks about

Ah, well the aw3423dw is a 1st gen panel, so I understand your perspective. Mine is a 3rd gen, aw3225qf, and each gen has been improving on the black raise issue. 4th gen is supposed to come out soon with a new coating that might have similar performance to WOLED, but that remains to be seen. I have

AW3423DFW vs AW3225QF

I have both. Pros and cons 4k is more demanding but also you'll notice the black levels are better on the aw3423dw the gamma is different on the 32. Also you'll need more distance between yourself and the monitor itsa good amount taller. I'd say you can get it and try it out and if you don't like it

Does 'G-Sync Ultimate' matter for anything anymore?

I don't think so. I have a G-Sync ultimate screen (AW3423DW), and Gsync was working down to ~30fps with no frame doubling with a 6900xt. No problem with HDR either, everything was fine. Only reason I changed to Nvidia was power (4090)

W-oled vs QD-oled

Still plenty of other points to QD OLED other than what you mentioned imo; - 3 year standard burn in warranties on monitors, while having comparable burn in resistance (if not better on latest gen panels) to WOLED - No white sub pixel dilution in saturated HDR games/content - No near black chrominan

Why do most PP filters don't cater to HDR?

I got the Alienware AW3423DW and HDR content looks mind-blowing on it, so I'm not sure where you got that from. It's a game changer (literally). These OLED monitors are pretty cheap now. Btw, I don't think IPS and HDR go great together, maybe high-end Apple monitors can do it justice. I think OLED r

Are these the ports for the Samsung Odyssey G8?

No it's probably fine for most people, but an oled should be able to do better. The near black detail was at about the same level as the 27R83U I had. Although if you want a monitor with this format I'd highly recommend an Alienware AW3423DW/AW3423DWF instead.

No, don't buy OLED - Im done with this shit.

Looks like a you problem bro. I have the AW2725Q and text is sharp, I never get eye strain, literally if I play 16 hours in a day my eyes at the end of the day are tired because I'm sleepy, otherwise zero eyestrain. Brightness is perfect for my room, I run it at 50% and at 100% I can tell it's brigh

No news about Nvidia's "G-sync Pulsar" for about a year

The only 34" gsync ultimate oled there is: Alienware aw3423dw with latest Bios (important latency fix) no flickering beside from some loading screens. Works great I always play with gsync, nvidia boost and fps limit below refresh ingame or rtss if no ingame option. And depending on the game hdr - hd

WCCFTech interview with our resident Filoppi about the state of HDR in the games industry.

Yeah but then I guess your contending with lack of contrast and maybe IPS glow still? But yeah I've been using OLEDs now since like 2020, maybe 21, started with LG CX55 then got a AW3423DW, and obviously now a AW3225QF

Play Wow on oled monitor!

i have a Alienware 3423DW QD-OLED with HDR and i do can recommend the monitor a lot but in WoW it does not make a big of a difference. With a game that is HDR supported like assassins creed, its mindblowing. Edit: I got Burnin after 2 years, the spells were clearly visable on a grey background, it g
