MSI MPG 274URDFW E16M - Some thoughts and feelpionions.

I think the question is; do the downsides outweigh all the other positives? My alternatives were the Philips Evnia 32M2N6800M (only 144Hz, no USB-C or KVM), Evnia 32M2N8900 (much pricier & risk of burn-in) or Alienware AW2725Q (the most expensive option, no KVM) For what I would do with it (CS2 & Th

Am I dumb for getting a 1440P monitor over a 4k monitor with a 5080

That part is definitely true. Alienware AW2725Q is only $800 right now though. If you have a $1000+ GPU, might as well pair it with a nice monitor.

Absolutely overwhelmed with picking a monitor

What helped me when I was searching for a monitor for console gaming with a similar budget was this rtings article - https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best/by-usage/gaming If you scroll to the bottom past the reviews there is a table with all of their monitor reviews, I just sorted the table by

1440p vs 4K , is the clearness noticeable

I would go for 27" in 4k and at least 120Hz. Depending on your GPU. You can play in 1440p on a 4k monitor but can't 4k on a 1440p one. I play some games in 4k native, others are scaled from 1440p or whatever, there is a difference but it's not that much, some ppl saying it's bad, it's not. I use my

I got an 9800X3D and a 9070XT, which monitor you are rocking.

Used to have a 1440p 170 Hz ips with my 5800x3d and 9070 XT setup. For fast paced fps would say that's the sweetspot, but since i mainly play now rpg games, or slower paced shooters, I went for an Alienware AW2725Q 4k oled 27". And I couldn't be happier. It looks sharp as fk. If you want higher fps

looking to upgrade my main monitor

If you baby the OLED it'll last the life of the monitor tbh. I have a CX with 9100hrs with 0 burn in and mostly just 3 games used on it. Got it in 2020. Have never had burn in with any OLED and I like to use a good amount of brightness, if you just turn on the precautions and hide your taskbar there

Looking for a 240hz 4K monitor

There’s only 5 options out right now for 27” 4k oled ASUS pg27cdm, xg27ucdmg* Samsung g81sf* Alienware aw2725q* Msi 272urx The starred models lack dp 2.1 but are also cheaper (except for the samsung). imo buy the cheapest one.
