Is A "$500" QD-OLED Worth It? - MSI MAG 273QP X24 Review

You are craaazy. Paying 500 dollars for an lcd panel is even crazier. You can get an aw2725df qd oled for under 650 euros now. Lcd isnt viable over 250 euros now that oled prices have halved in two years. The quality difference in contrast and motion clarity is enormous

Am I wrong for thinking OLED still feels like early adopter tech?

I love my QD OLED monitor and can’t go back to IPS. With that being said all of your points are valid and real issues that buyers need to be aware of when considering purchasing an OLED panel. I think some of these issues are exacerbated by sitting closer to the panel. The vibrating lines and bandin

TCL 25G64 QD-Mini-LED – Backlight Bleed Visible in HDR Even With Local Dimming High?

You expect too much for a 150$ qd-miniled fast ips with 300hz. i had this monitor before i went OLED (aw2725df) and it was very very good. best monitor up until 250$ish prince range imo.

Is this the best 240hz 1440p oled right now for the price?

My mate has the 360hz version and im pretty sure he has no complaints about it. I have the aw2725df which is 360hz qd oled and i cant fault it. I think if your American this price looks really good to me as an Aussie. If you do get it just look up some tutorials on how to get the colours looking goo

Which OLED monitor to choose!?

that's a solid budget for an OLED upgrade. for mixed use i'd lean towards a 27" 1440p 240hz+ model. the LG 27GR95QE is a great WOLED option with great colors and response times. if you want 4k and can stretch to 32", the ASUS PG32UCDM is a fantastic QD-OLED but might be over $1k. for strictly 1440p

Finally decided to get my own PC.

Part Actual part Why/Extra tips CPU/Mobo/RAM (RAM Bundles may be slightly more expensive) AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D Bundle The bundle price is a steal, you can often find good deals at newegg (online) or microcenter GPU NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super Amazing for 1440p, great features (DLSS), and runs cool/quiet. Looking for 27 inch monitor for movies and work. Budget is around $500

The Alienware is a great monitor. I am guessing you’ve thought about IPS monitors and decided against them? See if any of these are any better for you: » LG 27GS95QE - 27", 240hz, W-OLED, good brightness with a matte finish. Great option for PS5 and Xbox. Freesync and GSync compatible. Displayport 1

which monitor to choose

I have the alienware aw2725df that uses the same panel as asus xg27acdng. No complaints. Qd oled has better colors compared to woled on most cases. But now that tandem oled is here, unless you are getting a discount on these monitors, get a tandem since 60% higher lifespan of the panel

First time builder – high-end 1440p gaming build – anything I should change?”

Make a few cuts in the budget to allow for a better monitor: instead of the 5070 ti try the 9070xt. It's cheaper and has the same performance (assuming you are fine with fsr 4.0 and not playing an nvidia optimized title such as black myth wukong) I'd rather save money on cutting that 2tb ssd in half
