you should go with the Alienware aw3423dwf. the oled panel gives you true blacks and colors that make games look much better than a regular ips display. you can find some good options in this thread

I've overclocked my UWQHD OLED AW3423DWF from 100 Hz to 120 Hz with HDR. It can do 165 Hz without hdr, but only 100 hz with hdr out of the box. Have managed to get higher frequency than 120, but wanted to stay at the 2x 60 Hz threshold to reduce tearing. Been running that for a couple of years by no

im running the same cpu+gpu combo with 32gb ram, using aw3423dwf 3440x1440p for gaming and im extremely happy with results. currently playing 40k space marines 2 (avg 130fps+) & monster hunter wilds (avg 90+fps) both maxed out without frame gen. if the monitor is about the same in price maybe you ca

If you’ve got some extra clams lying around I highly recommend oled. I got the Alienware aw3423dwf on a pretty decent sale and I love it. It’s a 165hz panel though, but I choose fidelity over frames so 165 is pretty good for my needs.

Ya, was just reading up on the specs vs each monitor. You're absolutely the right person for the OP to ask! The 1440 is the better, overall for sure. I'd go with a better quality monitor over resolution, any day. I'm currently running 1440 UWQHD Alienware AW3423DWF. Solid monitor for a first gen(got

Pretty good system as is. Id consider upgrading monitor first actually. A cheap OLED like aw3423dwf @ $500 or less would be a more impactful upgrade than 4060 to 5070ti. If you can get the 5070ti for under $800 and sell the 4060 for 300 youre in a great spot

I have an AW3423DWF and yeah the text ringing is a bit troublesome. I have an IPS monitor as my 2nd monitor so I use that if I need to do serious text stuff for work otherwise the AW is good enough for gaming and daily use. I absolutely love the monitor for gaming and YouTube and stuff and I only pa

Aside from potential cost issues, any reason you don't want OLED for work? I'm running the Dell Alienware AW3423DWF and have been for the past couple of years. I use it 8-10 hours pretty much every weekday for software development and in my free time for video editing and gaming. It's been superb fo

IMO, oled screens look great on desktop gaming. I have an ultrawide 34” Alienware qdoled, and a LG 34” ultrawide non oled stacked and the difference really is night and day. But on small screens it’s meh, again in my opinion/experience. I’m perfectly happy with my go S screen 😬

If image quality is your priority, the Alienware AW3423DWF is a great pick ($499–$649). It’s QD-OLED, so you get amazing contrast and colors, plus a really immersive ultrawide experience. Fwiw my mate and i looked into a bunch of monitors and this one kept coming up for OLED quality and value. We us
