140 Watt Anker USB-C Charger Considered A "Slow Charger" On My Precision 5570?

It is TRULY obnoxious. Even more obnoxious: I have 2 Dell laptops, an XPS 15 9530 for work and an Alienware Aurora 16x for gaming. I bought a third-party barrell charger for the Aleinware that's rated at the same 280 W as the OEM charger, but because it's not a Dell OEM charger it limits power deliv

After months of waiting, got my Area 51 Alienware 16.

Congrats! I got the aurora 16x a couple of weeks ago and bought the Alienware 16inch Backpack - AW5625P and A620m mouse. They're great, the backpack is really nice and fits my laptop, mouse, keyboard and more easily, has a lot of space and it's comfy and well padded, time will tell how it holds up b

Linux Gaming Laptop Question

Direct support is their workstations/dev systems, but many devices still end up on lvfs like alienware, etc. and their lines share a lot of minor components so generally you wont see as many weird wifi situations for instance. Dell even in certain markets sells Ubuntu certified alienware machines lik

Dell Alienware Support: A $5,000 Frustration

I ended up buying another Alienware because I missed the initial box opening experience. I had much more expensive laptop back in 2017, (Alienware 17 R4) it was around $2500 dollars. But seeing your post brings back the ptsd .My mind decided to hide issues about the key caps, laptop randomly freezin

Alienware Aurora 16X keyboard RGB “aurora” effect is no longer smooth, even before Windows loads

WARNING. To anyone with the same issue, do not allow tech support to replace your hardware. I have successfully recreated the issue on another Aurora 16x by performing a system recovery. All evidence points towards a BIOS/EC malfunction. The important clues I have found so far are as follows: The ef

16x Aurora crashing

They pushed an update which made it go like this. I am not expert but according to my research I think this is happening due some sort of issue with chipset. You can find more about on this forum: https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/alienware/aurora-16x-ac16251-bsods-and-kernel-pool-corr

Is the Alienware 16X Aurora worth buying right now? Is it good?

It is great option actually due to its battery’s life, It actually can stay up to 10 hours which is one of the best but one huge flaw of this one is screen, screen is just really bad and ghosting, some people might care some people might not but I personally do, so It’s up to you, you could’ve get 1

Alienware Aurora 16X keyboard RGB “aurora” effect is no longer smooth, even before Windows loads

Same for me. Alienware Aurora 16X AC16251 received as gift on December 2025. Suddenly the Aurora effect stopped working properly, no more transitions but only jumps from color to color. After following the instructions from Dell support (simply reinstalling AWCC and after a complete reinstall of the

Alienware 16X Aurora BIOS 1.8.1

The machine you have is irrelevant. SupportAssist is a steaming pile of horse manure and absolutely shouldn't be included on any Alienware machines. It causes more problems than it solves, consumes resources unnecessarily, collects system telemetry to send back to Dell, and acts as a remote access e

Thinking about getting a 16x aurora for electrical engineering.

To be honest, yes, the Alienware 16x Aurora does get hot. When I first opened it and started doing basic tasks, it was running at around 80 degrees Celsius while practically doing nothing, and while playing AAA games it reached 100-105 degrees (with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and The Last of Us Part II).
