My $150 Alera Elusion (Staples) is 11 years old. Padding, controls, hydraulics are still 100%.I recently bought a second one for home and the build quality is still the same. I recommend this chair to everyone who doesn't want to spend over $400.

I had a similar issue with my knees. The Alera Elusion Series Mesh Mid‑Back chair (about $119) has a neat adjustable seat‑depth dial and a roomy seat pan, so you can get that finger‑gap you want. It also leans back a bit for better circulation and the mesh keeps you cool. Definitely worth a look if

I get the seat‑edge issue too – it’s a pain when you’re shifting around the guitar. Look for a chair with a rounded front edge and mesh back so it breathes. I’ve been using the Alera Elusion Series Mesh Mid‑Back Multifunction Chair; it’s got a nicely contoured seat, decent lumbar support and stays c

Steelcase Leap v2 I'll have to keep that in mind. I sit cross legged almost exclusively. Currently the best chair I've been able to find is the "Alera Elusion Series Mesh Mid-Back Multifunction Chair" for something like $150. It's not great quality but it's been holding up for 7 years now and has a

I've been sitting in an Alera Elusion high back chair with an aftermarket mesh headrest I bought and installed myself for about 4 years now. Very comfortable, lots of points of adjustment. I got it on sale for less but they're listed around $250 now. Can't speak to the "BIFL" of it, but I've done no

Alera Elusion is what I have at work, same chair, 8 years. I remember when we purchased we tried out maybe 6 different chairs. No matter how comfortable it is I still make sure to get up and "do something else" often though. What I really like is the firmness of the mesh back. It's not bulky either,

I'd recommend the OFM 24/7 chair. Everything is adjustable! Alera Elusion multitask chair is similar. I've tried HM, Steelcase, etc and they didn't come close to these. Not nearly as adjustable. (Steelcase Criterion is close though) I used to want an Anthros but the OFM does everything the Anthros d

For 10 years I've used an Alera Elusion office chair I got at amazon. It has a forward tilt mechanism that cants the seat slightly forward. Note that the whole seat cusion/seat back tilts forward as one unit. I LOVE that feature. Like I said - 10 years, 10+ hours a day every single working day in th
