My thoughts exactly. However there are decent deals out there. I just bought a used pro version of the EK7000 for $30 on eBay from a reputable seller. I use an inexpensive Akaso V50X as a dashcam, mounted on my handlebars. The 4K video isn’t GoPro quality but it’s plenty good for dashcam purposes. It comes with 2 batteries, buy extras as each one lasts 60+ minutes at 4K, or you can power it from an external battery.
