European VPN recommendations

AirVPN works great for me. A no frills, reliable service and what seems to be a pretty ethical provider. Good pricing also.

What VPN do you use?

I've been using AirVPN for the last little while and it's been pretty decent for me. I initially got it just for my *arr stack for Linux ISO's but ironically it wasn't an easy setup on headless Linux, so I just wrote a wireguard service for it. Since then tho I've been using it on my personal PC plu

How can I torrent safely?

I have successfully downloaded a torrent ... ...how do you torrent safely? A bit late to ask. It's something you should have done before downloading a torrent. Get a good VPN. I use AirVPN. Bind qBittorrent to your VPN. This stops all torrent traffic if your VPN drops its connection or you forgot to

Quick question about Qbit+Gluetun.

This!! I had ProtonVPN initially but the connection dropped every few hours which was concerning. Switched to AirVPN and it’s been 2 years with my container running. No issues.

Quick question about Qbit+Gluetun.

I have done this same setup with air vpn because they give you 5 ports that don’t change. Been doing this for a few years now with no problems at all.

TorrentLeech.org opens signups

I haven't read through that section of the TRaSH guide in a long time, but my guess is that most VPNs don't port forward so they impact how connectable you are. If you specifically get a VPN with port forwarding support (AirVPN, PIA, Proton, etc.) and set it up properly you'll be connectable and can

When I use any VPN I can't connect to any site using cloudflare.

I see that sometimes with both ExpressVPN and AirVPN. If it’s a site that accepts my payments, I complain and send them diagnostic info. If they tell me to drop my VPN connection, I explain that as a former security engineer, that would open my system to security threats. They usually open it up, bu

Unusably slow?

Not sure about that, all the servers that have been the most reliable for me in the past are now rated 1-2 stars (at best) for speed within the AirVPN window, so I'm inclined to think they've gotten slower, but my system could be part of the problem..

ProtonVPN server update -> account ban

This is possibly an anti-abuse thing on Proton’s end. Are you running the gluetun latest image? I think the maintainer includes the latest server data with each release. Gotta plug AirVPN though. You get up to 5 static ports that you get to choose and get pretty stable server IPs. Running two forwar
