8bitdo Ultimate 2 and Pro 2 joined the Steam Input party

Newest firmware for both supports Steam Input fully, requires the steam beta client. This is huge for SteamOS-Bazzite users. All extra buttons are available and gyro too

RDR2 -8bitdo Ultimate 2 (Gyro)

This controller is perfect for this game with the extra buttons which are mapped using steam. I'm using Gyro to Joystick Camera and it feels almost as if it's 90% close to using Gyro to mouse. The in-game gyro movement feels slow in the video compared to the controller movement but while playing you

8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless seems to have its steam input ui now!

Just checked a bit ago, I saw some people saying the buttons were now recognized but I didn't see the UI until this morning, so I am not sure if this is old news, but it looks like the steam input UI is all there!

With this and the beta firmware allowing for dinput on 2.4, this honestly might be on

New Steam Client Beta update adds full Steam Input support for 8BitDo and FlyDigi controllers. The extra buttons and gyro are now customizable.

You also need to make sure you update your controllers to the latest firmware with 8BitDo's software. I have the Ultimate 2 and I have to press Guide+B while connecting to the dongle to put it in Steam Input mode for everything to work properly. The gyro is super smooth as well. If you only connect

Does the 8bitdo ultimate 2 have full steam support now?

Like, gyro accessible + all 4 extra buttons remappable? I'd like it if the extra turbo and remapping buttons were also accessible since they're useless if you're using steam input anyway (which has both turbo and remapping), but it's a lot less important than the other stuff. I just want to know bec

Getting the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 to work in Steam Input

Third Edit: With the newest beta firmware update from 8BitDo, the controller is fully detected in steam input now for gyro, rumble and it's extra buttons. Steam itself hasn't added support on their end but [I have received confirmation](https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/3

Steam Controller overpriced? Yeah nah.

8bitdo ultimate 2 has gyro, TMR sticks, trigger locks, full steam input support, and 4 extra buttons plus charging dock for half the price. Are trackpads and capacitive joysticks worth that much extra?

8bitdo Ultimate 2 - Steam Input support

Hi everyone,

I thought this information might be useful here. I bought this controller, updated the firmware to the beta version, and I'm also using the Steam beta on my gaming PC. Controller is in BT mode. I noticed that on the test screen, all the additional buttons (paddles and two additional sh

Steam Controller releases today!

I'm only concerned cause people did this with the index and then for a bit with the steam deck. Obviously I'm not too concerned cause they will restock at some point and I'm sure I will get one eventually. But I want one nowwwwww. I have been waiting for a long time for them to make a 2nd steam cont

Can you guys help me choose a gamepad for a newbie?

Solid advice, especially the part about native steam input support. Gamesir/flydigi/etc don't have that. The 8bitdo Ultimate 2 uses 2.4ghz which can be more reliable than Bluetooth.
