What controller do you use when docked?
8bitdo ultimate 2.4 + BT edition. With the latest update, I can wake my deck from sleep while docked over BT which finally brings it into parity with other platforms that have had this ability for years. I'm so happy they were able to do it over an update rather than requiring new hardware.

New Steam Client Beta update adds full Steam Input support for 8BitDo and FlyDigi controllers. The extra buttons and gyro are now customizable.
You also need to make sure you update your controllers to the latest firmware with 8BitDo's software. I have the Ultimate 2 and I have to press Guide+B while connecting to the dongle to put it in Steam Input mode for everything to work properly. The gyro is super smooth as well. If you only connect

8BitDo Controller
I use the more affordable version of that controller, and it works great both using Bluetooth and 2.4G: 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller You might want to check it out too.

Super cute 8BitDo controller
So, I ended up getting my first non 'function over form' controller - an 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Honkai: Star Rail - Evernight. It's so pretty.
It's also a *very* solid controller - it's probably on par with my Razer Wolverine V3 at less than half the price (only $70). Very happy with this controller

Ultimate 2 Bluetooth latency is kinda bad
I am using this one with the Switch 2 and can't believe it has this much latency. I've tried every connection, Bluetooth, 2.4 and Wired, and feel no improvement. I am testing against the JoyCons and they have little to no latency, feels perfect.
What's up with this model? Is there any beta firmwar

8BitDo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth/Switch Version - 100% Compatible with MacOs 15.5
After weeks of research, I have decided to take the plunge and buy myself a new controller. Despite the DualSense's best compatibility, I was afraid of common drifting issue, which led me to filter it down to controllers with Hall effect. I value reliability, and I don't like to buy the same item ov

Getting the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 to work in Steam Input
Third Edit: With the newest beta firmware update from 8BitDo, the controller is fully detected in steam input now for gyro, rumble and it's extra buttons. Steam itself hasn't added support on their end but [I have received confirmation](https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/3

Ultimate 2 Wireless vs Bluetooth Comparison
I've been thinking about getting the Evernight edition of the controller; however, I would mainly use it for the Switch 2 and PC. There is no proper post explaining the differences. To make it easier on people like me, I created a post detailing the similarities and differences between the two. Here

Ultimate 2 BT: No Shake-to-Wake after NS2 update
For me and my black Ultimate 2 Bluetooth controller (https://www.8bitdo.com/ultimate-2-Bluetooth-controller) the new Shake-to-Wake function for the Nintendo Switch 2 worked fine - until I installed the new Switch 2 software update (v21.0.0) from Nintendo on the console yesterday.
Now the controll

Thanks to this sub i got gyro working in my nostalgic marble game and would love some feedback
Yes, the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless, worked pretty much out of the box with Steam gyro. Has to be put in bluetooth mode though.
