Why did asymmetrical control layout become so popular? What are the benefits over symmetrical?

It became popular because it is better for modern 3D games and more ergonomic, but the symmetrical layout is generally better for 2D games. I own both types of gamepads, but definetly prefere asymmetrical for most games, but my 8bitdo pro 3 gamepad is still one of my favorites even though it has a s

Recommendation for kids?

8bitdo has pretty affordable controllers. the ultimate 2c bluetooth controllers work pretty well, aren't that expensive, and feel comfortable (though they might be too big for kids' hands? not sure). they also have more expensive and full featured controllers like the pro3, but if you're getting one

The End Game Mobile & Home Setup for my Thor (when it gets here)

I can’t say I didn’t get jumpscared when I saw a picture of my desk in the middle of the slideshow 💀 Thank you for including me in your setup! I’d recommend looking into the UGreen 65W charger as I’ve found them to be on par if not better than Anker’s. For controller, 8Bitdo are amazing, but if you

Help with choosing a controller similarly shaped to a PS4 controller

I collect controllers for fun and for a ps4 shape and paddles I really like the gamesir tarantula pro and 8bitdo pro 2 (havent picked up the pro3). Id avoid scuf products because they are overpriced for what you get and reportedly break quickly. Another person mentioned the tt max. I just got it the

Best macro controller for RNG?

Definitely 8BitDo Ultimate 2 and Pro 3. There’s already a lot of macros made and guides available. Look up CasualMidMaxed on YouTube. He has a lot of videos as well as a discord dedicated to them. I recommend the pro 3. Much more comfortable (amazing D-pad!) for playing the game vs ultimate 2.

Controller Recommendations for RP5

I’ve just got the 8bitdo pro 3 and it’s great, the buttons are magnetic and interchangeable so you can change ABXY configurations depending on what you’re playing/ emulating, and you can change the left and right triggers to buttons too. Feels great and sort of like a hybrid PlayStation/ NES style

Hall effect /Tmr controller with ps layout

What about the 8BitDo Pro 3? I was looking for something that matches your needs, got the 8BitDo Pro 3, and the gamesir tarantula pro. The tarantula pro battery failed after a year, so now works wired only, otherwise it's very comfortable. The 8BitDo Pro 3 is working flawlessly and is comfortable

Coming from PS4 my whole life, should I get a GameSir or 8BitDo for PC? (NBA 2K player)

I have the Gamesir G7 Pro and 8bitdo Ultimate 2, 2C and Pro 3 Currently I mostly use the G7, but it's been modified. I really dislike the stock thumbsticks. The texture is harsh and irritates my thumbs so I replaced them. It's also on the heavier side and I ended up removing the rumble motors as I d

Mobile Stardew- Worth It?

I bought the 8bitdo pro 3 controller. It does PC, android, apple, switch. Pretty much connects to anything. Some ish Bluetooth. Other is via the dongle. Its probably not the most comfortable out there in the market, it's pretty good. But the connectability makes up for it.

Joysticks

8bitdo pro 3 for me. I love the d-pad, buttons, and ergonomics. Plus the battery lasts a really long time. Honestly, any 8bitdo controller will do. Check them out if you haven't already. Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad | 8BitDo https://share.google/sOAAoUSdJ8oNkKM8J
