Steam Controller: The Ars Technica review | Valve’s new hardware is solid but might not justify its $99 price.

Comparing it with the 8bitdo Pro 3, the Steam Controller does not sound like a good value. The 8bitdo Pro 3 is like $58 all the time on Amazon but $50 or less with discounts on AliExpress. Things it has over the Steam Controller: Easily swappable buttons A little lever that turns the analog triggers

Question about mapping extra buttons for 8bitdo controller

There are 2 or 3 controllers with very similar names. All of them can use on-board features to manage the extra buttons, but some can also access Steam Input, so you can remap the extra buttons to any keyboard button too. This controller, the Ultimate C2 (which is a variant of the Ultimate 2 Bluetoo

Here's hoping for a Pro 3 3-mode for XBOX

But isn't the Pro 3 already 3-mode? It has 2.4ghz wifi, bluetooth, and is also capable wired. You can swap the buttons as well for Xbox layout or Switch layout. It has D-input, X-input, and S-input. IMO it's more Ultimate than the actual Ultimate line.

I'm thinking of buying a dualsense to play on linux, would you recomens it?

No, DualSense are known to start drifting which (to me) is unacceptable at this price point. I would suggest an 8bitdo with hall sensor or TMR joysticks (e.g. the Pro2 or the Pro3). They also work perfectly on Linux, both wired and via Bluetooth.Only downside is that they do not come with Playstatio

People don't know what the Steam Controller is

Main draw for me is not needing my mouse when using the PC on my TV, and not needing to make new controller bindings when I dock my Steam deck. I got an 8bitDo Pro 3 recently and love it, but I find that I still often need a mouse cursor at times to get around menus, but mainly there’s no way to tra

Need help finding a controller to play on PC

8bitdos controllers from the past bunch of years have really solid drivers, are very pretty, and have a variety in whatever orientation you like Look at the 8bitdo Pro3 for example, PlayStation controller style layout Every 8bitdo controller after the wired ultimate 2C from like 4 years ago has work

How is the RP5 as a docked console?

I use the official dock with my living room TV all the time. I have a 8bitdo pro3 hooked up to the dock so I just dock the console, undock the controller, and I'm good to go. I always forget to update the controller profile on the emulator before docking it but that's my fault. I use this setup near

Can someone please suggest me a good PS style of controller for pc?

Yeah, I avoid using the Xbox layout too. 8Bitdo Pro3 is the best symmetrical one for PC currently, imo. The Gulikit TT Pro and TT Max are supposedly releasing "soon", but they've been saying that for about a year now.

Is there a controller that will work with Switch, Switch 2 and Retroid 4 Pro when docked?

I use the 8BitDo Pro 3 for when I hook up my Retroid to my TV, and also for game streaming from my PC to my TV using Apollo/Artemis. I like the swappable buttons on the face of it becuase Steam and the games on PC always reverse the buttons to what the controller shows. RGC did a video on it. I've a
