I have a Analogue 3D, a Summercart and a Forever Pak 64. How on earth do I save games?

Nintendo 64 controllers have a slot on the bottom for accessories. The “memory card” is called a Controller Pak because it fits there. Only some games use it. The only games that require it are third party games not published by Nintendo… though a lot of them don’t require it to save either. That’s

It’s been said before but use wired original controllers if you can

I modded the dpad on the 8Bitdo controller. It made Dr Mario playable again. https://longplaytech.com/posts/8bitdo-64-controller-diagonal-fix/ The stick isn’t as nice as an OG stick, but it’s pretty good. I can do all the Mario 64 stuff with it fine. It does take some time to adjust to it.

Regret

The A3D really brought home how different the Nintendo Switch Online emulation is from the original console. The 8bitDo controller feels better than the n64 controller ever did, and I’m rediscovering stuff like Mario 64 more or less the way I remember it. The overclock option is nice on kusoge games

I want to congratulate Analogue and 8BitDo on teaming up to make the worst Bluetooth controller I have ever touched

I have an original N64 controller modified with the 8bitdo kit and I'm having no problems. Never a disconnection, never a lag in the controller. Obviously, I updated both the console and the gamepad as per the manual. I'm starting to suspect that the problem is that you can't play Mario 64 or Mario

Analogue 3d virtual pak off limits for non 8bitdo controllers?

So I just learned that the founder of Analogue is also 8bitdo's Chief Marketing Officer? So it's not a technical limitation as in they couldn't do it, I really think they have a collaboration and intention to sell more 8bitdo controllers and it's as simple as that. I do hope in the future they open

Is the N64 controller worth it if you don't have much nostalgia for it and mainly want to use it for Zelda?

I bought an 8BitDo 64 controller. It was cheaper and it works great.

So do we have a definitive answer as to whether or not 8bitDo or Nintendo Online expansion pack 64 controllers are as good an OG wired N64 controller?

Gotta say, I have one of each (OG wired, NSO and 8Bitdo 64) and they all work perfectly fine for me. I have never had any lag, though I am probably only 1 to 1 1/2 meters from the Analogue 3D. I probably prefer the 8bitDo simply because I'm used to the form factor, though it is fun to reminisce and

For those with the Analogue 3d, what’s been your experience with controllers?

The 8bitdo ones that were released for the analogue feels great in the hands, the buttons feel great, and would be perfect for playing games with a few friends like Mario party or Mario Kart, but any game that requires precision on the analogue stick like Goldeneye or Ocarina of time using the sling

All first party controller options to play Game Boy games on NSO - My favourite is the N64 controller! Which do you prefer?

+1 for the 8BitDo 64. Completed Goldeneye 00 Agent with it. Couldn't stand having a second stick in the way complicating things. You have to get used ZR being your emulator option menu but I'm obsessed with it now. I'll play every 64 NSO game now with it.

Why are the Star and Home buttons non-functional on the 8BitDo 64 2.4G controller but functional on the bluetooth version?

If you are sensitive to lag and don't mind pressing button combos to switch between controller pak and rumble function, or the fact that the controller is paired with its dongle and cannot be used on anything else than an N64 or a clone of it, then get the 2.4GHz version. Personally, I don't think t
