Finally bought proper N64 controllers after years of using anything but. Much more comfortable.
The first one is an 8bitdo 64 and the other with the smooth analogue nub is the retro fighter brawler 64. The 8bitdo feels like the better controller overall in terms of overall build quality, compatibility and comfort but I really like the retro fighter aswell, the dpad feels more accurate and the

The Nintendo 64 is my favourite console of all time. What's the best way to play in the modern day?
Can promise you they do (source: I have one and am in Victoria, AU). Postage is obscene at nearly $90 so all up the system+postage cost me around $545 after USD to AUD. Next step for me was to buy the retro 8BitDo 64 controller, another $80 or so dollars with postage. Finally I bought a Summercart 6

Completely overwhelmed - where do I start? (Ocarina of time)
If you're really interested in retro gaming, then your best/easiest/cheapest option is to keep emulating it on your computer.... but get a proper controller. 8bitdo makes a 64 controller that's very good. Not perfect, but very good. There are other options, but so far I like this one the best of the

Look what came in the mail today!
Fixing to put it through its paces with the BK port in Jiggies of Time. I have the NSO one as well and I like it a lot too. My son is getting into N64 as well so I wanted a second n64 controller to play with him on some titles. edit: getting a lot of common questions, can’t edit my image post and my

What is the best wireless controller setup for N64 that does not require me to pay for a subscription service?
Brawler just announced a new pro version of their brawler64, 8bitdo 64 just released a nice controller… always love the NSO N64 controller for the authentic feel. All the best currently.

Trying to decide on whether to pul the trigger on the Analogue 3D
I love my A3D paired with my EverDrive and the 8bitdo 64 controllers. Yes, it’s plug and play 8bitdo 64 bluetooth controllers are great! They stay in sync, can power on the A3D, and you can toggle between rumble and virtual save pak. I’d stick with 64 style controllers. The sn30 pro and Xbox one con

shell swap and a brawler for the $20 untested marketplace 64🤌
The Boy Scouts of America gave me a brand new Star Fox 64 which famously originally came bundled with the Rumble Pak. It was a real game changer when I got it. The 8bitdo 64 Controller + 2.4 GHz N64 receiver are pretty nice with full rumble support and a touch more ergonomic. Both are great controll

2.4G 8BitDo N64Controller switch between Rumble and Memory
It works flawlessly with the bluetooth version of the 8bitdo 64 and paired to a retroblue 64 dongle. Here are instructions: On the SummerCart64 press Start button Select "N64 Information" Press the 8BitDo 64 Home Button once -> Controller Pak is Inserted Press the 8BitDo 64 Home Button a second time

What controllers feel like a switch pro controller?
I can confirm that the 8bitdo Ultimate controllers are very similar to the Switch Pro controller. They're almost the exact same size and shape. I have the Ultimate 2.4G, not the Ultimate 2, so I can't speak to how good the gyro control on the Ultimate 2 is, and I don't know if there are any differen

Best modern options to play N64?
The Summercart is the cheaper alternative to the everdrive based on what I’ve read. Ive heard Everdrive now works with the A3D. I’ve played a few RomHacks and it’s been fine with the unleashed over lock feature. Some people have had issues with the 8bitdo 64 controllers that were made for the A3D, b
