been interested in coffee for three years, found this old pourover from my mom which is perfectly suited for the filters I use. Don't have a good grinder yet.
For the same price you can get the 1zpresso X-ultra, which is considered to be much better. So it depends on how much effort you want to put in for grinding (especially if you get an espresso machine in the future).

Help me stop my gf from getting a Nespresso Machine! [550-600]
I have an 1zpresso x-ultra and use it for espresso everyday and it's great. That being said if your girlfriend is considering/interested in a nespresso manually grinding coffee beans for espresso is probably the opposite of what she wants to do in the morning

Aeropress grinder worth the money?
AeroPress grinder is absolutely not worth it. The cheaper 1zpresso X-Ultra for $170 USD is a much better grinder. Even the 1zpresso Q Air for $70 USD is arguably a better grinder.

Looking for a good espresso machine for my wife [150 USD]
This is an almost impossible price point to achieve. The closest I can suggest to get you real espresso is a manual lever machine ($100 Flair Neo Flex) and a hand grinder ($160 1Zpresso X-Ultra). You would still need to add in some basic tools to make this feasible (~$100? scale, temp controlled wat

In that case x ultra is a great choice. If you want something that fits in the plunger of an aeropress, 1zpresso Q is also a great grinder and will produce a similar cup quality. However the dial on X-ultra is substantially easier to use and has more fine-grained adjustments, but the magnetic catch

How many microns could you taste?
My 1zpresso X-Ultra has 12.5 microns per click and one click changes the shot time for a set output by approximately 3 seconds. I know that stepless adjustment is seen as a plus by many people but I don’t agree. 10 microns per step is fine enough and it will make dialing in easier.

Please help a total noob choose a good manual coffee grinder
Manual hand grinders are great for most uses and often better value for your money than electric grinders BUT they can be a chore for espresso. Hand grinding for espresso quickly became a nuisance for me. For all other brew methods they’re great! If you’ll be doing espresso often I’d recommend going

Profile cup Xultra vs Kultra?
They’ll be quite similar. K has 48mm heptagonal burrs X has 40mm heptagonal burrs They’re so similar that any superiority between the two might be down to the coffee you’re grinding. You might prefer one coffee with the X, and the K might bring out a quality in a different coffee that you really lik

Burr grinder recommendations for in around 150 USD
You may want to consider a hand grinder. The Kingrinder K6, Timemore C3 Esp Pro, and 1ZPresso X-Ultra are all good options. If you can stretch to $200, the 1ZPresso J-Ultra can give you results on par with a $1000+ automated grinder.
