[MOD] The Daily Question Thread
I’ve read here that grind size consistency is only second to the beans themselves - and as a result people always recommend buying a high-quality burr grinder. Ok, so here is what I get from a brand new 1Zpresso X-Ultra — absolutely zero consistency in grind size here. Is this a faulty unit? Is this

No way I am drinking coffee pods at the office
1Zpresso X-Pro, the discontinued model, I got it for 130EUR. The new version, the 1Zpresso X-Ultra, is more expensive at 160EUR and I wouldn’t recommend it at that price. You might want to check the KINGrinder K6 or the more modern MAVO PHANTOX PRO. I have heard great things about those and can be f

How Can These Beans Possible Be For The Same Purpose
Yep, the ones that are “a joy to grind” are likely a darker roast. I gave up trying to use my 1zpresso X-Ultra for espresso with light roasts after the first try. Some people are into the brute strength thing, but not me. If you feel the same, then your options are probably to either invest in an el

Hand grinder opinion
I'm not sure if it's actually a better grinder but I decided to buy a 1Zpresso X-Ultra instead of a K6, but I've heard great things about the K6 as well. Still not sure if going with th K6 would've been the better choice. I don't know if the K-Ultra would necessarily be worth the extra money, but I

[MOD] The Daily Question Thread
I think experimenting with pour structure and ratio will be better. You don't have a lot of fine adjustment to tweak your brew with just the grind size, and with that many fines, it's easy to clog the filter. The absolute cheapest good grinder you can get is Kingrinder P2. If you can spend a little

Manual grinders
One of the 1ZPresso grinders, though I can't recall which series. Maybe X Ultra?I feel you on the space issue. I'm not working on a boat, but def quarantined by espresso great to one edge of the kitchen to keep it out of the way. We don't have a ton of counter space and I hate clutter. The manual wa

How it’s going vs How it started
I actually have not used it for anything but my Silvia. I use a 1Zpresso X-Ultra for my morning pour over because I like to hand grind. I’m know the 078s is capable of grinding for pour over. The hopper is quite small and so is the dosing cup. I don’t think it would handle more than 25g at a time.

But do you think the taste will be the same as some higher quality machines? I bought a 1Zpresso X-Ultra and tomorrow i will go get some nice beans from a local roaster, I'm just worried the machine might limit my experience

So how tough are these things?
Mine (X-Ultra) lasted a little over 2 months of daily use. Not sure if I did something wrong or if it was just defective. I am now looking at hand grinders from other manufacturers. Overall 1Zpressos get very good reviews so maybe I was just unlucky.
