Gifted an incredible machine but can’t afford a top tier grinder to match…what’s good enough? [$250]
If you don't mind turning the crank yourself, you can get incredible value from a manual grinder. I have a 1zpresso J-Ultra, and I'm so happy with it. Easy to clean, grinds 18g coffee in about 30 seconds, 8 micron adjustment means I can dial in any coffee to its sweet spot. Plus it is very quiet fir

WHAT am I doing wrong??? [Breville Bambino]
To me it looks like you need to grind finer. If your grinder is already on its lowest / finest setting then it's time for a new grinder. Same thing happened to me. I didn't want to buy another electric grinder because it's just me that uses it on my household I went with the 1zpresso J ultra manual

Is there a better espresso setup for the money than a Bambino Plus + Varia VS4?
if you're being serious, i think a hand grinder like a j-ultra and a la pavoni (easily found used for less than a bambino plus) offer a drastically better coffee experience for less. this coming from someone who had a bambino and a vs4.

Is there a better espresso setup for the money than a Bambino Plus + Varia VS4?
It’s certainly a mighty combo, but I don’t think it’s peak espresso per dollar. My idea of peak espresso per dollar is a Cafelat Robot or Flair, paired with an 1Zpresso J Ultra or a Kinu M47.(The prices for the Flairs vary dramatically. Until recently, there were offers for a new Flair 58 for 399€;

Shot pulling to fast, help [gaggia]
The best solution is to buy a grinder and grind the coffee yourself, it is really the best advice I can give you, if you are on a budget you can buy a manual grinder like the K6 or for a little more a 1Zespresso J ultra on Amazon

I'm looking for an espresso hand grinder [$200]
Kingrinder K6 1Zpresso J-Ultra If you want maximum espresso, but it's roughly double the price of the K6. I'd buy K6.

J-Ultra vs Weber Workshops — Is it actually worth it? [No budget]
Once you get great grinders, it's mostly about preference. Not "this much better". I would absolutely encourage you to try 1Zpresso hand grinders if the idea of hand grinding is tolerable. Some people will never consider it. I have over $10k worth of grinders at home and use a 1zpresso as much as an

At which price point does it get better than an 1zpresso J-Ultra?
This whole concept of things being better/ worse just doesn't hold true most of the time. Once you get to a certain point in coffee equipment, there isn't really such thing as better or worse. Just different. I don't really know what you expect to get out of the J ultra that you don't get out of you

Best espresso machines to buy in 2026? [$500]
unfortunately, you kinda really do need a grinder. i tried doing preground early on and it’s just not the same at all. you can get it to be fine but it’ll be like getting an espresso from a mcdonalds. if you’re looking for a super cheap (relatively speaking) way to get into things i would go with wi

Boat life espresso? [$1,000]
I'd get the Robot for espresso and the Subminimal Nanofoamer for making your flat whites. Assuming you can heat up water and milk you'll be sweet with this setup. The grinder is super important for espresso. For your use case I'd get a hand grinder like the 1zpresso J-Ultra which is excellent IMO.
