What are the finest OBS configurations for a 4K webcam? (Upgrading from 1080p)

If you are looking for a great easy to use webcam I can recommend the Yolocam S3, comes up very well in reviews & a lot of them out there! If you want some real hands on experience with it I'm more than happy to dm. I've tried running the camera in 4k and 1080p, I believe 1080p looks better on Twitc

feel like my face cam looks bad… what camera are you all using?

Recently started using the Yolocam S3 which seemed the best bang for buck for an upgrade from my Elgato Facecam. If no budget for sure it's going to be a mirrorless Sony or something similar with extra hardware but for straight plug & play quality, Yolocam gets my vote! DM's are open if you want to

What are the finest OBS configurations for a 4K webcam? (Upgrading from 1080p)

I use YoloCam S3 with OBS at 4K30 MJPEG, and it worked great. Love it since I bought it and it changed the way I do for recording and video calls.

Webcam or Iphone

The sensor size is the more important spec. Larger sensor captures more light, minimizing the grainy artifacts you can see when you are in a darker room. Other than 4k 30fps and 1080p 60fps, Yolocam S3 can do 720p 60fps. Looks like you are right about Zoom only allowing free users to do 720p max, bu

What is your webcam?

The YoloCam S3 is my go to as well if you have the budget for it. On the higher end 4K cameras - its the best alternative to my DSLR camera.

Upgrading from basic webcam to 4K noticeable difference?

I noticed a pretty clear jump when moving from a 1080p camera to a good 4K webcam. The extra detail and autofocus stability make talking head videos look much cleaner. I tested the YoloCam S3 from yololiv recently and the larger sensor definitely helps with background separation in smaller setups.

Have 3 different cameras, want to color grade - match them all (not all footage is log/raw)

Thank you for the advice, I am using the Yolocam S3 webcam. Its got crazy quality for being what it is. Good enough for Youtube videos. I will do what you said. That makes sense.

Starting a podcast with my best friend - equipment recs?

A decent wireless pair of mics and a Yolocam s3 would be a great starting option, the yolocam s3 will give you 4k quality with superior ai autofocus on a 1/1.3 sensor for dslr like quality at only $200

Question to people knowledgeable about setups.

Kiyo Pro Ultra does 1440p and 4K at 30 FPS and the Yolocam S3 does 4K at 30 FPS but no 1440p. In either case, I'd just do 4K and downscale it in OBS, which will look better than scaling up 1080p. Having said that, you're only going to have access to 1080p on Twitch initially, 1440p is only a beta fe

Best Webcam to Buy in 2026? (Price, Quality, Autofocus)

The YoloCam S3 is definitely one to add to the list. For a USB webcam, it’s surprisingly impressive and gets pretty close to DSLR level quality.
