New set up

I have an electric buzz tonal noise on my HS7 too. Yamaha DGX-520 electronic piano had quite a similar tonal noise on its built-in speakers, so there is probably an inherent engineering issue regarding speakers at Yamaha. I was able to minimize the noise on HS7 by decreasing amplification/volume wit

Studio monitors for synths AND a stage piano

At that budget, you will get a better sound out of the headphones. There is no escaping that. In order to get a nice, balanced, full-range sound out of the speakers, you'd need room treatment. Yamaha HS7 goes down to 50 Hz, so ideally 6 acoustic panels, some 10 inches thick, would be nice. That woul

You roasted it, I improved it - new setup

Ah yeah, makes sense, then it's fine. I know the pain, only got a 45" ultrawide but a relatively small desk and got Yamaha HS7. Pretty tricky to get good position with lots of display surface.

TS4 setup for Macbook M4 pro + Windows PC + dual 4k monitors

I have a 2019 16 inch Intel MacBook Pro (i9, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD), and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue: every time I plug an external monitor into my CalDigit TS4 dock, I get white noise (hissing) coming through my Yamaha HS7 speakers. As soon as I unplug the monitor from the d

Upgrade to Rokit 6 worth it?

A lot of people saying KRKs are overrated just want to appear elite, but the either way at that range the monitors are made of similarly priced/quality components. KRKs are amazing for the value, they really nailed the sound down with the new gens and the 6 inchs are great and plenty loud. You don't

Yamaha hs7 glitchy noise

I have a similar issue on my pair. I used them for a very long time with no issue, in the countryside. I then moved to Paris with them, late 2021, and they were working just as fine. But suddenly, one day, after 3 months living there, both started to do a similar sound as the one you captured. I con

Upgrading to a more serious pair of monitors

the Yamaha HS7 driver alone is much weaker in terms of freq reproduction then the KH150 alone, but also in power as well. So I know that getting only the KH150 ill get more bass and power. However, I do wanna make one meaningful upgrade and pay once then two times you know ;) So its either KH150 wit
