Why do people say Yamaha HS5 (or the entire HS series) is uncomfortable to listen to?
Not much upper mids but rather highs and, well, middle mids (~1 kHz) https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?attachments/yamaha-hs5-studio-monitor-powered-speaker-cea-2034-spinorama-audio-measurements-png.46443/ And their FR is indeed quite flat but unlike both most monitors and consumer

Surprisingly, antiperspirant Kahf malah lebih efektif di gw dibanding produk MBK, baik yg roll-on maupun bubuk. Suka juga sama baunya huhu. Anyway, sempet nyoba speaker Yamaha HS5, first time nyobain studio-level speaker gara-gara temen ada yg audio engineer. First impression: technically better tha

Finally done after six months
I heard Adam Audio's sound fantastic for their ribbon tweets! I was considering one myself back when I bought these 5yrs ago. Yes, to me they sound fantastic! Details are strong and they sound very natural. To my ears. As for accuracy, I don't really have anyway for measuring that. You can however "

Boss RC-600 Playback/Monitoring setup?
Sorry I missed that you already have monitors. The HS5’s seem particularly bass deficient to me so I get why that doesn’t work. I faced the same question 6 months ago when I set up a looping rig and started livestreaming on twitch. I use guitar, bass, drumset, synths, sample pad, drum machines, Rhod

Constantly struggling to get the bass right in heavy music, any advice?
Measurements for the HS5 show very excessive midrange and treble (spiking up to +7dB) relative to the bass. I would struggle to use these without significant corrective EQ. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/yamaha-hs5-powered-monitor-review.10967/

What studio monitors to buy for small apartment?
The Yamaha HS5 lack bottom of run without a subwoofer. But in a small apartment, you want to run something that doesn’t vibrate your neighbors’ walls. So it’s a tough choice between doing what’s best for your production and doing what makes you less hated in your apartment complex. I’d go with HS8 a

Bigger Soundstage
Do you use a subwoofer? Depending on the content,* the HS5 needs help with low bass; I doubt you need a bass trap. A spec of “frequency range to 54Hz” implies down -10dB could border on inaudible, per Fletcher-Munson, and likely have more than a target of 3% harmonic distortion, and aggravate multi-

Switching from studio monitors to passive speakers + HiFi amp for DJing & listening
Thanks for your reply! I did try different settings on the back of the HS5 and on my mixer, unfortunately, that didn't have any effect My living room is about 30 m², and when I’m listening, I’m sitting roughly 4 meters away from the HS5s. I guess that’s far outside the typical nearfield range they’r

Hey everyone, I’ve been doing music production for a while now and I’m at the point where I want to invest in some better gear so I'm planning to upgrade both my headphones and studio monitors. For headphones, I’m pretty set on the Sennheiser HD 600 based on a lot of reviews I’ve seen on reddit and
