I was in a Guitar Center recently and they hooked up some Behringer 3.5" monitors to test a keyboard that was coming in. I was amazed at how good they sounded. I doubt there is anything special about those particular monitors. I just think I learned that small monitors are much better than I imagine

I recommend that try to kick up about $230.00 and get a pair of the Yamaha HS3 of HS4 ($245.00). Guitar Center current have used for $165.). Don’t let these little speakers fool you. Yes there are small monitors but you will want a subwoofer to go with them (you can put it under the desk). For example, a pair of Yamaha HS3 or HS4 with an HS8S subwoofer.

i think a lot of people are missing that you're using this system for playback, casual music listening. no it's not going to sound great or full range, but yeah i mean you can connect things up and it will all make sound personally tho since it's the holiday season i'd just look around for whatever
