Are really phone sized ereaders worth it? Can people use it daily and finish books in a regular basis?

i have read so many books on my smaller ereaders (former palma owner, own both the Xteink X4 and X3, as well as an Obook5). so long as you're okay with reading on the smaller screen, it's great to have something that's always in your pocket / bag / purse / on you in some way. Especially with the X4

X4teink vs M5 paper S3

Yes I own both. Xteink X4 is a e reader device and it is meant for reading ebooks. The screen is brighter, more contrast, its size is ergonomic enough to hold and press jts button. M5 Paper S3 is an eink device and it can support many other use-cases than reading ebooks. It has touch screen but the

Which eReader

The FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH and Piracy subs have megathreads where you can find websites to get ebooks from. I suggest you check those out. From what I've seen, colored e-readers aren't recommended since they have a poorer tech quality. Complaints of text being less sharp and more blurry compared to non c

Phone Size E-reader Question

There is a very small no frills relatively new "independent" 4.3 inch e-reader that is getting a lot of traction lately among those who like to tinker with gadgets. The Xteink 4 is definitely not for everyone and has no front light or audio, no touchscreen (just buttons), or any marketplace for that

Work EDC

Yes it's a very cheap, very pocketable, very basic (no backlight, touchscreen, or store) Chinese-made e-reader. I first saw it on this sub. It's called the Xteink X4.

Does xteink have any plans to release a version with backlight?

TBH, I'm after a front-lit one, but I heard the next one is gonna be Android, which I don't need. I already have the Palma and Note Air 5C for that. I just want a small e-reader for my bag/pocket. I was on the fence about getting the X4 because of no front light, but I finally bought one. I also got

Reading in darkness and silence - best option

I use a red light by Block Blue Light, I feel it’s less noticeable than a warm light and doesn’t disturb sleep. Check out the Xteink X4, it’s a small e reader (no backlight). I have a kindle but hate backlight at night.

Sell me on the Xteink X4 — why pick a 4.3" screen over a Kindle Paperwhite?

Kindle or kobo should prob be your first e-reader. Esp if you can afford it. The x4 and all the xteink devices are at a price point that it is a tinker's dream device. Small, simple and fun to learn to use properly. Also holding and flipping pages is so light and easy that for me, i actually prefer

How many e-readers do you own?

4* Tossup between my Clara BW and the XTEINK X4 as my "mains" (the X4 is smaller and fits in everything but the formatting and lack of light heavily limits it). The Clara was specifically purchased for summer travel (because waterproof) I also own both the Palma and the Poke 3. And I keep multiple d

Are really phone sized ereaders worth it? Can people use it daily and finish books in a regular basis?

I have xteink x4 (about three weeks) and it really makes a difference. I’m carrying it in my breast pocket and taking it out everytime I have a bit of time. So far, I finished two books and soon to be finished third one. The size is just perfect for everyday carrying. I have been considering boox pa
