Buying Xiaomi pad 8

Xiaomi makes very nice hardware but HyperOS and the overall software experience leaves a lot to be desired. Yes the A16 iPad (11th gen) is nice, but when I compared it to my Samsung A11+ for normal tasks there really wasn't that much of difference even though the iPad has a faster processor. If you

Is an iPad genuinely useful in MBBS or just a flex?

Great reply, Brand doesn’t matter much then. The main thing is whether the tab can handle notes, PDFs, lectures and storage properly. If Xiaomi Pad does that, it’s a better budget option.

Which tablet should i get?

The ui of the lenovo does the job but is meh 😑 no lockscreen customisations just basic . But hyperos on the other hand has lots of customisation and features but there is slight jitterness . Also the lenovo tablet is huge . for me 11 inch xiaomi pad will be best for note taking because a 13 inch tab

Is there any mainstream Android tablet (Lenovo, Xiaomi, Samsung etc.) that can run Linux?

If you are ok with tinkering probably there is something with good enough support. https://github.com/Project-Silicium/Mu-Silicium/blob/main/Status.md My Poco F3 runs Linux great, and I could use my old device as mini arm Linux machine. Edit: Xiaomi Pad 5 seems to have good enough support.

Ipad 11th gen or Xiaomi pad 8

ipad 11th gen handles streaming way better tbh. the xiaomi pad has a nice screen but netflix only streams in sd on android tablets sometimes. plus ipados has better pdf readers for work stuff. i switched from a mi pad 5 last year and noticed the difference immediately. grab a folio case with a stand

help deciding on a good graphics tablet

Oh if you want standalone, most will cost more than that. These are pen displays that need a PC to run. You want either an iPad, Galaxy Tab, or other brands like a Redmi/Xiaomi Pad
